Penrose
Penrose is a wooded area of countryside with a stretch of coastline that surrounds Loe Pool. Loe Pool is the largest natural freshwater lake in the county and is cut off from the sea by Loe Bar, a stretch of sand and shingle.
Within Penrose visitors can explore the many paths through the farm and woodland by foot, bike or on horseback. Amongst the wildlife here are barn owls, otters, deer and bats with their habitat carefully looked after by National Trust rangers.
