Perran Sands is situated in a Special Area of Conservation due to the diverse system of sand dunes that run behind it and the ruins of St Piran’s Oratory. The South West Coast Path runs through the dunes, offering walkers the chance to explore this fascinating area.

Perran Sands joins up with Penhale Sands and Perranporth at low tide and provides beachgoers with a stretch of beach from Perranporth to Ligger Point. Surfing is a popular activity here and dogs are welcome.
