Porthcurno Beach, Cornwall

Porthcurno Beach in Cornwall is a large beach popular with families due to the sand and lifeguard cover. The cliffs provide shelter from the wind and a stream flowing down one side often forms a pool ideal for paddling in.

The Minack Theatre sits at the top of the cliff here where visitors can catch a show during summer and enjoy cream teas and snacks at the café.

Porthcurno Beach is also the location for Nampara Cove in the popular television series Poldark. With soft sand, turquoise sea and ruggedly beautiful cliffs, it’s no wonder.
