Rhosneigr Beach – Traeth Llydan
Rhosneigr’s Beach is actually three beaches separated by rocky outcrops. A vast expanse of sand, this beach provides plenty of room for day trippers and beach games.
If you’re looking for seclusion, head to Treath Cymyran. Situated furthest from Rhosneigr village, this beach is often less busy and provides a great spot for fishing. Sea bass, grey mullet and flounder are all caught here.
Traeth Crigyll is the most popular beach with its shallow, clear waters making it an ideal spot for paddling. Water sports are also a popular activity here with windsurfing, canoeing and surfing enthusiasts flocking to the area when the conditions are right.
Traeth Llydan sits to the east of the village and is smaller than Traeth Crigyll. Traeth Llydan is known for surfing, swimming, boating, kayaking and snorkelling.
Rhosneigr itself is on the coastal path and walkers can walk through the dunes to Aberffraw. There are plenty of cafés, pubs and restaurants in Rhosneigr to refuel at after an afternoon’s walking.
Dogs are allowed on all three stretches of the beach year-round.
Enjoy a lovely day out at the seaside…
