Slapton Ley National Nature Reserve
Birdwatchers and nature lovers will be in heaven at Slapton Ley National Nature Reserve. With a freshwater lake, woodland and marshes, the reserve provides habitats for a diverse selection of animals, insects and plants including badgers, otters, dormice and bats.
The reserve is 1.5 miles long and there are a range of walks through the reserve and into Slapton Village and with the beach just steps away, visitors are able to combine a beach day with getting active and close to nature.
