St Giles Church
St Giles Church is the parish church of Wrexham and is considered one of the finest examples of ecclesiastical architecture in Wales!
Documents suggest evidence of a church in this location as early as the 11th century. However, the building in its present form dates mainly from the end of the 15th century and the beginning of the 16th century.
The tower of the church is impressively 135 feet high and is visible from all around the city. The tower is the reason that this feat of architecture made the list of one of the ‘wonders of Wales’. There is even a half-size replica of the tower at Yale University, which includes a stone from St Giles’ tower.
