St Ives Harbour
This historic harbour would once have been filled with fishing boats on the way to or from pilchard fishing trips. Today, St Ives Harbour continues to thrive with a small number of fishing boats remaining among the pleasure boats and vessels.
The wharf backing the harbour is packed with bars, cafés, shops and restaurants in which visitors can escape from the sun and enjoy harbour views. Among the establishments here is the Sloop Inn, one of the oldest pubs in Cornwall dating back to the 14th century with a reputation for being the favourite haunt of fishermen. There is also a sandy beach popular with paddlers and sunbathers thanks to its sheltered aspect and golden sand.
Come to St Ives Harbour for an afternoon in the sun…
