Sygun Copper Mine
Sygun Copper Mine offers the opportunity for you and your loved ones to head underground to explore winding tunnels and large colourful chambers.
Abandoned in 1903, the Sygun Copper Mine today offers a unique family attraction in the heart of the Snowdonia National Park. It has won a number of awards, including the Prince of Wales award for tourism and is named one of the wonders of Wales.
Today, you and your family can follow self-guided audiovisual tours that allow you to explore the old tunnels on foot. Look forward to glimpses of colourful chambers, impressive stalactite and stalagmite formations, as well as traces of gold, silver and other metals!
Once you have completed the self-guided tour of Sygun Copper Mine, visit the on-site gift shop, where you can also pick up light refreshments.
Continuing to impress, you are welcome to bring your canine companion underground too! However, please consider the series of grided staircases that you must climb to reach all three levels of the mine.
