Talacre Beach
Home to Point of Ayr Lighthouse, which dates back to 1776, Talacre Beach is a point of historical interest. The lighthouse was decommissioned in 1884 and rises 18 metres from the sand.
Thought to be haunted, visitors are advised to keep an eye out for the old lighthouse keeper who still watches over the beach today!
With miles of golden sand and dunes packed with wildlife, Talacre beach is also a popular spot for sunbathers and walkers. Located a stone’s throw from the Dee estuary, birds such as little terns, skylarks, meadow pipits and warblers are often spotted in the area.
A day of family fun awaits at Talacre Beach…
