York Minster

York Minster’s opening hours between Mondayand Saturday are 9:30am-4pm, whilst the opening hours on Sundays are 12:45pm-3:15pm.
When planning your visit to York Minster, you will need to book a time slot in advance. If you want to explore the minster, ticket prices are between £9.50-£12.50 and children aged under 16 can visit for free. If you’d like to explore the tour too, you will need to pay an extra fee.
As you enter the glorious cathedral, you’ll be mesmerised by the high ceilings and stained-glass windows. If you time your visit right, you’ll even get to hear the beautiful sounds of the choir.
As you make your way through York Minster, you’ll be astounded by its Gothic architecture, something it’s most famous for. You’ll also able to discover a range of underground chambers. Here, you’ll also get the chance to see 2,000-year-old artefacts!
With your York Minster tickets, you can tour the cathedral’s underground museum. Here, you’ll get to learn about the landmark’s eventful history, including the 1829 York Minster fire, and its construction by Walter de Gray in the 1220s.
