Soak up the seaside ambience of Barry Island, and head on the heritage Barry Island railway for the coastal views.
Visit the National Waterfront Museum in Swansea, within easy driving distance, with their collection including boats in Swansea Marina, maritime paintings and coal-industry artefacts. On the opposite side of the peninsula find the town of Llanelli perched on the banks of the Loughor Estuary, visit the Llanelli Wetland Centre home to lagoons attracting thousands of migrating birds from all over the world, you might even meet a Caribbean flamingo!
