Set in the outstanding setting of the South Hams countryside, you will find the magnificent Gitcombe Retreat.

Having been designed by the award-winning architect Roderick James, this luxurious abode styled with chic interiors provides the ultimate getaway for groups of eight looking to celebrate or simply holiday in style.

Gather in the sociable open-plan living space and admire the beautiful beams that line the ceiling and the striking woodburning stove that takes centre stage in front of the impressive bi-fold doors leading out onto the balcony wrapped around two sides.

Settle on one of the two beautiful blue sofas or chat by the contemporary kitchen island as you watch the chef of the group whip up a delicious home-cooked meal and sip on a refreshing glass of bubbly.

Take your seat at the spacious dining table as you delight in the lovingly prepared feast and exchange stories of times gone by, before raising your glass to a memorable holiday with fantastic company.

Take the evening outside to the large paved terrace with a private hot tub where you can indulge in drinks whilst watching the sun set across the stunning rolling countryside.

Grab your towels and head indoors to one of the four bedrooms available within this property; the ground-floor is home to an easily accessible double bedroom with the added benefit of an en-suite shower room, whilst down on the lower-ground-floor you will find two super-king-size bedrooms each with an en-suite shower room and third super-king-size that can be transformed into two single beds upon request.

The lower-ground-floor also features a grand bathroom with a tranquil ambiance boasting a freestanding bath, basin and WC, creating the ideal place to enjoy some time to yourself.

When you manage to tear yourself away from this luxurious dwelling, be sure to make the most of the sites indoor facilities including an indoor swimming pool, sauna and steam room as well as a sunbathing terrace and championship size tennis court where you can work on your swing.

Gitcombe Estate Cottages

Resting within the beautiful Devonshire countryside on the outskirts of the village of Cornworthy, sits this magnificent collection of nine luxury properties known as the Gitcombe Estate. With accommodation to suit all tastes, requirements and party sizes, properties range from a Grade II listed manor house, to a newly built stylish timber framed property designed by award-winning architects. Totnes 4.4 miles

Cornworthy is a picturesque village in the sought-after South Hams area of Devon that dates back to Saxon times. Much of the village makes up part of an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The coastal towns of Dittisham and Dartmouth are nearby and provide excellent opportunities for marine activities and some of the UKs best seafood restaurants (such as The Seahorse). Totnes is also a short drive away, an attractive, vibrant town, which also includes a railway station that provides direct services to London Paddington in under three hours. For shopping addicts Totnes offers an excellent range of small independent retailers and unique shops. The town is famed for its promotion of ethical products, wholefoods and fair trade goods. In the Civil Hall Square you’ll find the weekly market which is held on Fridays and Saturdays. And an Elizabethan market held each Tuesday morning (May-September), when traders dress in Elizabethan period costumes and the Totnes Sunday Good Food Market.
