"It was a great break, the location was perfect."
But what happened to the Snow? I suppose we will have to wait until next year!! The quality of the accommodation was excellent. Specifically the quality of the beds and their linen was 5 star and so important when the weather outside was -10c, and we sleep with the windows open. The library sitting room was an added bonus. The Mar Estate grounds and space, the river Dee on its boundary. A quick hop and skip to (Cairngorm's) Lairig Ghru. What more could you ask for? Ho, I forgot the staff! They know their jobs and don't they execute really well. Thank you.
Great to read that you enjoyed your stay in Dalvorar and than you for recognising the staff work very hard to ensure that the apartments are well maintained and very clean. You will have to return as Braemar does get alot of snow! Property Owner

With five properties in total, Mar Lodge is ideal for large family gatherings or celebrations, providing couples and small groups with a perfect country retreat too. The picturesque lodge itself has been split into five luxuriously furnished apartments, including Dalvorar, Macdui, Braeriach, Derry, and Bynack. The main lodge is a true delight, with high ceilings, grand hallways, and a fabulous billiards room, open to all apartments within the lodge at a small extra cost, the perfect space for socialising with your loved ones. This prime Highland estate has been visited by nobility since the medieval period and is now recognised as one of Scotland's most important conservation sites, with ongoing preservation work to maintain the beauty of the ancient Caledonian pine forest and to protect the native wildlife. If you're seeking a holiday rich in breathtaking scenery and outdoor adventures, then Mar Lodge Estate is a superb choice.
