  • "Beckdale is a lovely cottage , very well equipped and with generous size rooms."

    It has the benefit of it's own off-road parking space , and there was a warm & friendly welcome from the owner. We would definitely stay there again , and would highly recommend it to anyone who is thinking of staying there .

Perched in the desirable village of Thornton-le-Dale, North Yorkshire, is this stunning two-bedroom cottage, Beckdale.

Boasting a prime position within the North York Moors National Park and a contemporary interior with stylish furnishings, Beckdale is a superb dwelling for couples or a family of four looking to explore this fabulous region.

Step into the well-appointed kitchen, where you can look forward to cooking up flavourful meals for your loved ones, ready to enjoy at the dining table for four over a bottle of wine.

Savour the last of the day’s sunshine out in the private garden, where you can enjoy your favourite tipple and toast marshmallows around the fire pit.

As the evening grows darker, curl up on the plush seating in the sitting room and select a much-loved show from the TV.

Indulge in a blissful soak in the beautiful freestanding bath or a refreshing rinse in the large walk-in shower, before wrapping yourself in a toasty, fluffy towel, courtesy of the heated towel rail.

Catch your rest in one of two beautifully presented bedrooms, a king-size and a double, ahead of a day of adventures.

Continue on to discover the wonders of Cawthorn Roman Camp, a scenic selection of walking and cycling trails, Mount Grace Priory and Ingleby Incline.

The beautiful village of Thornton-le-Dale lies just two miles to the east of Pickering within The North York Moors National Park and the Dalby Forest. This is an idyllic location at the head of a beautiful valley and is a walkers, bikers and nature lovers paradise. Scarborough and Whitby are 13 and 20 miles away and offer all the amenities and facilities of two of the country's best coastal resorts. York and Castle Howard are about an hours drive away and offer all the history and culture that any holiday would need. The neighbouring market towns of Pickering, Malton, Kirbymoorside and Helmsley are great destinations and are the hubs for many summer festivals and shows. The National Park and Coastline offer many opportunities for a great day out. The North York Moors National Park is on the doorstep with miles of open moor to wander through.
