"Had a great stay."
Lovely cottage, everything we wanted. A highlight was the balcony which was such a sun trap we were too warm in March! Really spacious everywhere, lots of storage space. We found we didn’t need the central heating and just put the fire on in the late evening. If we had to find one tiny thing we would prefer bigger cups!

"Fabulous cottage and location."
would return to stay again. everything needed to enable self catering but lots of places to eat and most pubs also did take aways. provisions available next door at the bakery and across the road at the post office.
(could not get fire to light but would only have been for ambience was warm enough. the system may need bleeding as hot water a bit blustery in bathroom and radiator only warm at bottom in double room, not a problem for us just wanting to make aware,)
Hi there thanks for the feedback. I’ll have the heating system looked at.

"Lovely cottage which had everything that we needed and more."
Very clean on arrival so compliments to the cleaners. Only downside was the weather as we were only able to enjoy the lovely garden and veranda on our first day.
You’re welcome! Despite the weather, I’m glad to hear you enjoyed your stay at the cosy cottage. If there’s anything else we can do to improve your experience next time, feel free to let us know!

"Lovely cottage which is deceptively spacious inside and beautifully furnished."
Kitchen well stocked, bathroom has a roomy and powerful shower and beds are extremely comfortable. The cottage has a lovely, private outdoor space in which to sit out with table and chairs provided and a view of the hills.
The stairs leading up to the kitchen & living room are narrow and could be tricky for anyone with mobility issues and the lay out of the cottage means there is no second loo but these are minor issues which didn’t detract from us having a thoroughly enjoyable 5 day stay in Wilson Eyre Cottage. Highly recommend.

"Thank you for a wonderful stay."
The cottage is beautiful, perfect location for exploring Castleton. We had tickets at Peak Cavern Friday and the location was ideal. We really enjoyed visiting the local tea rooms and enjoyed walking Mam Tor and the Ridge opting for one of the recommended routes using the leaflets provided at the cottage. Will definitely book to stay again. Thank you

"Perfect location close to village, shop, pub bus stop and easy access to lots of fantastic walks around Castleton."
The cottage is stunning, spotless, lovely enclosed garden and the best equipped one we have stayed in.
The gas fire was a bit temperamental and there was a slight drain smell in the bathroom but otherwise perfect.
Thanks we’ve done. Our best to make it cosy and it’s well equipped. The drain smell is from a recent problem which was immediately attended to.

"Had a great couple of nights here."
The cottage is conveniently located and nicely furnished. We really liked the layout of the sitting room, dining room and kitchen and it's comfortable and well-equipped. There is a lovely garden with great views from the sitting room. Although it's on the main road, it isn't too noisy.
There's an excellent, powerful shower but we found there was a damp, musty smell in the shower room - probably needs better ventilation. Also, we would have liked a king size duvet for the front bedroom which we'd asked to have made up as a king size rather than twin beds. The cottage was pretty clean but there were some cobwebs / dust on some of the beams and lights.
There are three unrestricted parking spaces opposite (if you can get one) and the Peak Hotel next door has a large car park with 24 hours parking for 8 pounds which they refund if you spend 10 pounds in the pub.
Overall we'd recommend this cottage.
Thanks for your feedback. I’ll pass your comments on to the cleaning company.

"We had such a great stay here."
Perfect location. Beds really comfortable and everywhere extremely clean. The only problem we had was a smell from the drains in the bathroom but the property owner was having a plumber going in after our stay to resolve this but it wasn’t really an issue that affected our stay! We would definitely come back again.
Hi there, in fact the plumber found the issue and fixed. There was a split is the waste pipe from the toilet. All fixed now.

We could park right opposite the cottage. As its central in Castleton you can walk to all the restaurants and caves too. And it’s right next to a fab bakery. The owner had left us some goodies too. We can whole heartedly recommend this cottage.
