  • "The property was lovely and cosy and better than we expected."

The only small issue was that being not able to close the livingroom curtains properly. Also it was nice and central for what we wanted to do. Overall we had a wonderful stay exploring Aberfeldy.

Thank you for your positive review. The property has been updated recently. The curtains are on the list for review as soon as possible. Property Owner

  • "We had a lovely stay at struan house, central location and a short walk to some lovely waterfalls (Birks of Aberfeldy) and the views from the living room are amazing."

The apartment had everything you could need and more. The bath and tiles surrounding could do with been updated and some of the carpets changed. An enjoyable stay and great for dogs with a lot of Aberfeldy being dog friendly.

Thank you for your lovely feedback. We have taken on board the comments. The flat will have a new bathroom from May 2024 and has all new flooring now. Property Owner

  • "We had a lovely time at this flat in Aberfeldy."

It’s spacious, comfortable and well equipped. The kitchen and bathroom could do with a spruce up but it has everything you need in them. The rest of the flat is lovely, especially the large living room with high ceilings and gorgeous cornices. It’s in an ideal location, right in the heart of the town. The owner was very helpful and gave us lots of tips for things to do via email. The flat and town itself is ideal if you have a dog - there are lots of lovely walks and dog friendly cafes and bars close by. I’d definitely recommend this flat.

About the location

ABERFELDY

Pitlochry 14 miles; Perth 31 miles.

The market town of Aberfeldy stands on the River Tay amidst beautiful scenery in rural Perthshire. Famous for its association with Burns and his poem The Birks Of Aberfeldy, and also the bridge built for General Wade in 1733, Aberfeldy is just south of Glen Lyon, known as the longest, loneliest, and loveliest glen in Scotland. There is much to attract the visitor in addition to the spectacular scenery. There is a 10 mile riverside walk for pedestrians and cyclists, as well as numerous paths through forest and countryside. In addition, Aberfeldy is on the Rob Roy Way and Cycle Route 7. Whitewater rafting on the River Tay is an exhilarating way to enjoy the scenery. Castle Menzies is a wonderful 16th century castle, now fully restored and open to visitors. Take a distillery tour at Dewar’s World of Whisky on the edge of town. Sample the many bars, restaurants and cafes in the town and explore the galleries and craft shops, including the Scottish Chocolate Centre. The Scottish Crannog Centre offers a glimpse into Iron Age life and Loch Tay offers a multitude of watersports, while Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park are on your doorstep. An hours drive brings you to 30 Munros, just waiting to be 'bagged'!
