  • "Enjoyed a stay at Backstage which was a great location slightly away from the "crowds" of Pitlochry!"

The facilities fitted us very well though a small 2-person comfy seat would be nice. I found that moving the TP-Link wi-fi booster from the plug socket by the television to the plug socket in the bunk-bed room at the back improved the internet connection immensely as it connected better with the main house.

  • "This is a lovely small property in a super setting , in many ways an eco cabin with heat source pump."

It is well described, well equipped. We stayed for three nights to meet friends and go to the nearby theatre .. which is very convenient. The chairs are not comfortable but heyho we weren’t in much and the bed was very comfy. Only caveat for people who struggle on hills .. it is a very steep walk up the hill to the house. Lovely walks from the house .

  • "Wonderful location, peaceful but easy access to Pitlochry."

Good facilities and an excellent host. Highly recommend and will definitely go back.

  • "Our biggest gripe was the lack of comfort."

There were two cinema type seats bolted to the floor at the foot of the bed which had minimal padding. There were no cushions for the outside chairs and the only other seating was two collapsible wooden dining chairs. Apart from hanging space, there was no cupboards or drawers for clothes and we used the bunk bed for this. Anyone intending to self cater will find nowhere to store their food, apart from a small fridge and there was only a single hob. If you’re looking for accommodation for a couple of nights at the theatre it’s ideal, if you want a weeks break in Pitlochry I would not recommend it

  • "Booked "Backstage" for a 3 night stay with my husband and oh my goodness what a fabulous stay it was."

The accommodation is like a little Lodge from the outside but is unbelievably spacious inside. The owners have thought of everything you could possibly need to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. The decor is bright, clean and modern. The patio area is so peaceful and a pleasure to relax with a glass of wine. The town is approx 1/4 mile away and it's a beautiful walk to enjoy. Highly recommend a stay here and as we absolutely love Pitlochry we will definitely be returning "Backstage"

  • "This property is in a beautiful setting and very convenient for the river, town centre, theatre, salmon leap and Loch Fascally."

Lovely to sit out on the patio and enjoy the peace of the place. The shared garden was not a problem even though the main house was occupied and the lovely weather meant both households were sitting outdoors. The property itself is compact but very well kitted out and clearly lots of thought has gone into making it a comfortable and tasteful place to stay. We would certainly think of going back there if we visit Pitlochry again.

We’ve had a super trip. It’s clear that a lot of thought and heart has gone into Backstage and it’s a really great little place. We’ll certainly recommend to family who will be visiting Pitlochry soon.

  • "Location is superb."

Garden space gives peace & relaxation. Unfortunately the people staying in the main house on Monday evening set off the smoke alarm @ 9.30 pm ish & woke me as I had driven from Newcastle & visited House of Bruar.I take it it’s connected to both properties as I had not cooked anything I was concerned. They did not realise I think it effected me as they didn’t approach wouldn’t rebook after this experience which is a pity. And wouldn’t recommend.

Compact interior but everything that’s needed for a great short break ( or longer) . Pitlochry is a fantastic town.

  • "The owners have clearly put a lot of thought and care into this wee holiday home."

It appears small on the outside but is pretty spacious in (the 11 year old even commented on this!). Everything was to a high standard. They even provided wee treats for our dog, which was a lovely gesture. The little manual/info book provided helpful recommendations for the local area. The location is super handy - just a short walk from the main street. We also loved the wild pheasant casually strutting about the garden!

Thank you for your feedback. We are glad you enjoyed this cosy and fun space amongst nature. As well as pheasant, if you are lucky next time you may spot deer, colourful woodpeckers, as well as pirds of prey in the garden. Property Owner

  • "Had a lovely stay and really appreciated the bottle of Prosecco to welcome us and the dogs enjoyed their treats Would have been better if the garden was more enclosed so the dogs could wonder about freely."

The hot water tank really isn’t big at all. I had a shower and had to wash my conditioner off in ice cold water. We hadn’t been in all day so not like we used loads of water. My husband had to have a cold shower Loads of sockets but nowhere to do your hair near a plug so resorted to having to take the mirror down and moving it so I could use it to dry and straighten my hair Didn’t use the kitchen really but seemed really well equipped. Cinema style seats weren’t the comfiest to sit on for any period of time. Overall had a lovely stay. Was in walking distance from centre of town where there are plenty of places to eat and drink. Just a few minor issues as I have pointed out. Would be happy to stay here again

Thank you so much for this feedback. We're really glad to hear you enjoyed your stay. Thank you for highlighting the issue you experienced with the hot water. We have an electrician and plumber reviewing the system. We hope to welcome you back again! Property Owner
