Listing: Cannot really class the back garden as lawn, definitely in need of attention. Comfort: There were too many 'trip' hazards particularly in the main bedroom, which I was unable to use after breaking my toe on the sofa. A shame as location was ideal.

  • "This is a really good property at a good price in a great location."

The back garden would be great in the summer and the Speyside Way and other walks aren't far away. The bird table had collapsed but I out good out for the birds and plenty came which was an additional blessing. The bed was comfortable, the kitchen had a good range of crockery and utensils and the bungalow is cosy and well insulated once it has warmed up. The heating takes a bit of getting used to and the hot water situation was neither fully explained nor was it very good; if there had been a family of six, would there be enough hot water for everyone to shower, and some people might want a bath especially as it was hard to shower properly without messing up the floor; but it really wasn't that hot even if you planned things a couple of hours in advance. Nonetheless, I think it was a great property at a reasonable price and I would go back there again

Many thanks for your feedback. We are in the process of updating our infrared heating system to allow better control for our guests. This also involves looking at the boiler system and hot water supply/booster function. We hope to have this improved by early 2024! Property Owner

Quiet location 5 minutes walk from town, comfy beds, WiFi, Netflix, excellent heating, showers and oven. Generous leaving time (11am). However...lots of dust on switches, ledges and around beds, top of fridge and hob hood filthy. Had to clean oven before use as still sticky with grease from previous guest.

It is a quiet location near to a nice walk with good access. We did have to raise a number of issues regarding overall cleanliness, damage and wear to the property on arrival, which was rather disappointing. The owner has apologized, addressed the issues with us post holiday and has confirmed that the issues will be addressed in the future.

If you're looking for the microwave it is integrated into the top oven, a lot of people have mentioned in reviews that there is no microwave, it's just a case of looking properly. Very good heating system, we had to keep turning it down because it was so efficient. Plenty of walks and bike rides nearby and on our early evening walks we saw a fair few deer. It's a very quiet peaceful location with a co op , chippy and pizza place 10 minutes walk away. I can definitely recommend the pizzas from Pizzariach!

Maybe a microwave in kitchen would be good we really missed not having one. Great space for two cars and large shed for safe keep of bikes. Overall great wee holiday home but just needs to sort few things and would give it 5star.

The surrounding area was a bit off putting on arrival but no problems throughout duration of stay. Good place to stay for families who need the house as a base in Aviemore. Host was very informative and sent a detailed email with all of the details for the house. There needs to be a warning regarding the heat of the kitchen taps. They are very hot.

The cottage is well equipped and is modern in furniture and decor. The kitchen is well equipped with every utensil you need! Lovely large American fridge-freezer which also supplies iced water, ice cubes and crushed ice (same as one wee have at home, so a nice surprise!). Believe microwave is incorporated in grill, but we didn’t use it. We only used the main bedroom but it is of a good size and having an en-suite was a bonus! Bed is super king and very comfortable! Living room has 2 leather couches and a single chair. A large wall-mounted Smart TV is fitted which has a limited amount of channels, but iPlayer is available. A problem with heating was quickly sorted out directly with the owner. The cottage is in a quiet residential area and has a lovely large secluded back garden.

  • "This holiday cottage is perfect!"

We were my wife and I, mother in law and our 3 year old son. Our double room was really comfy with a very generous sized en suite and powerful shower! Our son loved having bunk beds and there was an extra pull out bed for the floor in there too. Mother in law said her room was comfy and warm. We parked the car in the in the carport which kept in clear of snow and ice. The kitchen, dining room and sitting were are all a good size. Kitchen had ovens, grill, toaster kettle, washing machine and dish washer. I’d recommend having a car as the town centre is about 30-45 min walk and the buses aren’t very frequent. The house backs onto a golf course so the scenery is unobstructed and it’s a lovely quiet place to be.

Inside was perfect in the way the place was laid out but again when you walked into the porch it was grubby and had a cut out in the floor for a door matt, but the matt was not the right thickness and so it was a trip hazard.Everywhere was very dusty ,I know places get dusty but this wasn’t fresh dust. Floors were very dirty; sheets were clean and beds comfortable, towels clean, no blind in the bathroom so you had to dodge the neighbour going out to his car. No instructions on how to use the cooker, kitchen and dining room nice, living room nice but all could look so much nicer with just a little more care.

Found on arrival that the cottage did not appear to have been checked/cleaned in the morning as stated by the person taking care of the property as post still all over floor, fridge switched off with food still in, no heating on which made property really cold and uninviting with very complex operating system which we arent familiar with, edges of rooms particularly en suite were quite dirty! A simple instruction/operations manual would have been handy with bin info, heating/water info etc. Also did not find ironing board until last day as had been placed behind dining room curtain!!! Would definitely consider staying here again, but feel there could be a couple of areas improved!

Usually expect to find some tea, coffee, salt and pepper etc. There was also not much toilet roll or hand soap. For a longer stay this is not so much a problem, but when only staying a few nights it is a pain to have to go and stock these things. The kids didn’t want to leave when we had to leave. It was really clean and well thought out, making our stay comfortable. I was there with my wife and two kids so there was ample space for us. The location was perfect as it was really close to the city centre and the nearby shop made it really convenient to just dash for anything we needed. The owner was just at the other end of the phone if we needed anything and was friendly. I think we have found our secret hideout in Aviemore and will definitely recommend this place to anyone with a family.
