  • "Hi - had a wonderful stay in Keith and Speyside."

Thanks for providing us with a lovely place to stay. Overall the accommodation was excellent - super clean and a lovely place to spend time. A couple of basics that make all the difference - hand wash in the bathrooms, foil and kitchen roll to make taking care of the oven while cooking easier.

  • "The house is functional but not very cosy."

It probably needs a bit more attention to make it more comfortable. A dishwasher would be nice. We had to call about getting beds made up and more towels due to a mix up but it was fixed promptly. The instructions to the property only really made sense once you had driven it once. Some warning about the very narrow streets would have been lovely too. Lastly, the listing didn't make it clear that this was open plan so managing 4 people who had different sleep hours was a challenge. Its a lovely set up and has alot of potential especially being located close to the distilleries.

KEITH

Dufftown 11 miles; Aberdeen 49 miles; Inverness 55 miles

The small market town of Keith in the north east of Scotland is situated about mid way between the city of Aberdeen to the east and the city of Inverness to the west. Keith is truly in the heart of the Speyside Malt Whisky Country with its many distilleries and visitor centres. The friendly town boasts good facilities with a selection of shops, hotels and restaurants and also has its own 18 hole golf course and three tennis courts! Keith is home to the original Kilt School of Scotland, the only one of its kind where traditional kilt making skills can still be seen today. The area is not only rich in distilleries but also in castles and the ruins of Balvenie Castle near Dufftown are well worth a visit as the castle has hosted guests such as Mary Queen of Scots and Edward 1.
