104 Customer Reviews

  • "Back from our fabulous week at Seascape!"

We all had a great time and the cottage was outstanding. The view from the sun room is unrivalled and the cottage itself was comfortable, spacious and had everything we needed. The location is excellent and provided us with walks to Cullen Bay to the east and Findochty to the west and not forgetting the magnificent Bow Fiddle Rock! We enjoyed ourselves so much we have already booked another week next year and can't wait to go back. Thank you Seascape for a fantastic holiday!

The property

With a stunning sun room providing panoramic sea views this well-presented fisherman's cottage makes a great holiday home in the village of Portknockie.

Seascape is a spacious, smart detached stone cottage with close proximity to the sea and is ideal for a family or group of friends wanting to spend time together and explore the north east coastline of Scotland which has so much to recommend it.

The generously proportioned ground floor of the cottage comprises a large open plan living area with kitchen, dining area and sitting area with a woodburning stove, where guests will gather at the end of a busy day to chat while the meals are being prepared.

A step up from this room is the stunning sun room which offers uninterrupted views out to sea and is a quiet place for relaxation and reflection, perfect for enjoying a glass of wine while watching a summer sunset.

If you are lucky, you might even see a pod of dolphins passing.

There is also a smart sitting room with open fire and a shower room completes the ground floor accommodation.

The upper floor has a double bedroom and a twin bedroom both benefiting from sea views along with a family bathroom.

For adults and children this coastline is fabulous with rocky cliffs, golden sandy beaches and pretty villages and the nearby village of Cullen with enhanced facilities can actually be accessed via a coastal walk of about a mile.

A holiday in this area means that so much is accessible and both the cities of Aberdeen and Inverness can be visited making great days out.

This tasteful and welcoming cottage ticks all the boxes and ensures a fabulous holiday on a wonderful coastline.
