  • "The whole family had an amazing stay at Clashindeugle."

The house was perfect for our party. It was spotless, well equipped and in the most beautiful location. The host was quick to communicate about any questions and was really generous with her time before our stay, offering great recommendations for the area. We hope to return soon!

  • "Great house."

Quite remote which suited us. Games room was a great addition and owner was quick to respond when we had a minor issue. The kitchen is well equipped and very warm thanks to the aga. The beds were comfy and there were plenty of chairs for everyone.

  • "What a magical property, it was everything I was looking for where I could bring family together in magnificent surroundings."

The house itself is very comfortable, the kitchen facilities excellent, the games room entertaining, but the crowning glory is the ever changing views of the Cairngorms. I would love to return as would my geographically spread family. Only question why ask us to bring tea towels?! There are plenty.

  • "Excellent place for our large family gathering, and great base to explore the area."

Extremely well equipped (although we didn't find the tin opener until the last day

  • "The property was as advertised, it is in a wonderful position with great views of the mountains ,when we visited it was snowing so it made it even more spectacular, the house itself was well equipped with everything you may need to feed/ entertain your family, the games room isn't part of the main house but in a separate building within the grounds but that didn't stop the joyful activities that my family shared, there are only 2 showers one which is a wet room on the ground floor so having to go downstairs to shower if your bedroom is on one of the balcony rooms but it was sufficient for my family as we didn't mind, maybe the owners may want to invest in new mattresses as all the beds were uncomfortable ,small price to pay for an excellent holiday, overall we had a very enjoyable time we even went sledging by moonlight ."

  • "Clashindeugle is in a stunning location and has some superb features including views ,garden ,games room and most of all the wonderfully equipped and planned kitchen ."

Cooking was a joy.The link to the annexe was fantastic for a large group including children and dogs for boots etc. The little sitting area in the kitchen was a treasure and much used. Some of the furnishings are a bit tired but that was not a big issue but some of the beds were. The double bed in the main house was particularly uncomfortable and the bed in the passage way kind of threw my plans for who slept where.. To be fair, I was sent the floor plan on request but did not quite envisage the reality. We did have a fantastic holiday in an area with so much to do and inspire.

Great location for hiking, historical sites, and other Highlands activities. Wonderful sanctuary at the end of a busy day or for relaxing along a whole day. Our party agreed we would return and hopefully soon!

Any utensils that you require are at hand. Having a chef and myself being a very keen cook it was a pleasure working in that kitchen. It’s a beautiful house.

  • "Clashindeugle is in a fabulous location."

Isolated, at the end of a rough-track road, miles form the nearest main road; so peaceful and relaxing. The views are amazing from sunrise to sunset. No street lights to spoil the stars either. Facilities are extensive; games room, Aga, (on all the time) wood for the fire, plenty of space, and plenty of books to read, but the weather did not keep us in. Spacious garden let the grandchildren run wild safely, and our dog. We all had an extremely peaceful and stress-free holiday. This is a very cosy and homely property; all 10 of us loved it. Thank you so much!

We really loved it. We had a wonderful highland experience, bushcraft & horseriding at Alvie Estate, walks in Rothiemurchus, working sheepdogs, visited the reindeer.

  • "We have been coming to Scotland and in particular Grantown-on-Spey for many years and this is without doubt the best property we have stayed in."

Had a fantastic week. The weather was kind and we spotted lots of wildlife.

  • "Thank you for allowing us to stay in your beautiful house this past week with its panoramic views."

My grandchildren thoroughly enjoyed the freedom of the garden, woods and fields round about and the weather was very good so they were outside most of the time. ..As a family we have stayed in a few houses and Clashindeugle was voted Number 1.
