"This is a beautiful property with stunning views over the pier and is comfortable for a family of 10, Rooms are large and comfortable with everything you need for your stay."
a nice pub and chip shop near by. Great location for exploring snowdonia and Liandudno to name a couple of places.

"We had a fabulous weekend at Bryn Ogwen."
It was perfect for a group of us who were celebrating 50 years since we started at Bangor Uni. It was very comfortable and the kitchen was very well equipped. The showers were all good. The views were spectacular and it was lovely being so close to the pier and the Straits. All in all an excellent stay. The internet was not working when we arrived but was soon sorted by Sykes - thank you very much. One or two other minor issues which we shared with Sykes but nothing to spoil the stay. Would highly recommend. One suggestion would be that the facilities for recycling would be provided. We haven’t stayed anywhere before where this isn’t the case.

"Contacts in case of difficulty never answered their phones."
Nor did they respond to messages left requesting a call back. It was only after calling Sykes, who we think spoke to the owner that they called us. They did then resolve the problem promptly.

"Bryn Ogwen was perfect, we were a family of 9 , 5 adults and 4 boys between 5-15, the boys loved the fact it was over 3floors."
The house was is in a great position overlooking the pier and the telescope was a great touch and was used by all looking out to sea and to Anglesey. We also like the fact you are situated where most places we wanted to go to were all under an hour. It was the perfect place to introduce my grandsons to their great nanas homeland. Their verdict is “we love Wales”

"This is a GREAT place, extremely well equipped and simply beautiful."
Stunning views, all the comforts of a real home, and extremely spacious for 10.

"A lovely Victorian restored house, which is airy and bright, with fantastic views."
Very clean and tidy, with all amenities included. Plenty of space for everyone including the dog. Lots of bathrooms and showers, and the different bed layouts (kings, singles, etc.) meant there was choice for everyone. There are only two points to note : 1) Parking is difficult. The drive is not wide enough for cars and very steep. 2) Bangor is a great destination to get to other places (Snowdonia, Zip World, etc.) but there really isn't much there (other than the pier). We would highly recommended this house.
We are pleased that you liked the house and sorry that you found the driveway steep. The elevated position of the house gives it its wonderful views of the Menai Strait! Property Owner

"Fantastic location and view."
The house has all the esssentials for a great holiday home - very spacious, light and airy, spotlessly clean, very comfortable beds and well-equipped kitchen

"This house was wonderful to stay in and has the most incredible sea view."
It was very comfortable for 8 of us to spend the week in and I would thoroughly recommend to others for a wonderful base to explore a beautiful part of the UK.

"Everything about this property was absolutely superb!"
The house is amazing, with spectacular views. The facilities and finish to the property was pure quality. The only thing I was a little disappointed with was that only two bedrooms had an en-suite. The rest of the bathrooms, although very nice, were either across the corridor or down a flight of stairs. I’m sure that the massive bedroom on the third floor could have a shower room incorporated into it some how. The drive is very steep and very narrow. We struggled to open the car doors to get out and unload when parked on it. There is room however for 2 cars to be parked at the bottom of the drive. (The big refuse bin situated at the bottom of the drive stops a third car being parked there). The living room area is very lovely and comfortable, although this only comfortably seats 6/7 people on the sofas (we had a party of 9 people) so we had to bring in the dining room chairs from the other room. The kitchen area is one of the nicest kitchens I’ve ever had the pleasure of cooking in - absolutely amazing and well stocked with big enough saucepans etc - loved it. Brilliant property, great location - would definitely recommend.

"Absolutely perfect."

"Anyone who stays at Bryn Ogwen will be impressed."
What a lovely house, comfortable, well equipped, acceptably clean and with amazing views. Comfy beds too. Although it's by a road, we found it to be quiet. Easy access to the A5 nearby, and good places to eat a short walk away. The property description 'Be greeted by off-road parking for three cars', doesn't explain that the drive is too narrow to open the car doors. We had to get one car through the gates at the top and leave the other 2 at the foot of the very steep drive. The oldest member of our group had to be helped both up and down the drive. It would really help if the drive was wider and had a hand rail. The provided postcode is to a street called Bryn Ogwen over a mile way. The correct postcode and address can be found on Google maps or Bing maps etc Sykes Cottages were as usual excellent in their communication and booking process. The manager of the property kindly emailed in advance to see if we had any queries and to see how we wanted the beds configured etc. Overall an excellent holiday experience in a property that we really liked and enjoyed. Many thanks.

"A beautiful, well equipped house with excellent facilities, but not for the feint-hearted."
The driveway is very steep but excellent for your fitness. The internal doors were extremely heavy, too heavy for anyone under the age of 4 or with upper body mobility issues. The views from all the front rooms are incredible, and the addition of the telescope to the dining room was a lovely touch.

"The property was in immaculate condition."
The photos on the website did not do justice to the size and grandeur of each of the rooms. The property far exceeded our expectations and is worthy of full 5 star rating.
