  Drove round the island and visited many bays & villages. Our favourite was Newborough - brilliant place - beach & forest - dogs loved it. Beaumaris has been a great find & will definitely be returning with my sister & her husband. Amelie Cottage had everything we needed., the garden for the dogs was great. We appreciated all the extra's - shower stuff, loo rolls, kitchen roll, foil, tea & coffee etc etc. Aga and heating very easy to use/control. Did a mix of cooking in and eating out. Recommend The Bull & The Liverpool Arms & all the cafe's!! Going home feeling very relaxed. Thank you x

  The beds were very comfy first of all and the rooms were spacious. We loved the small courtyard garden and the separate 'secret garden' accessed via a gate at the back. We would definitely return to this cottage. The only things I would for possible improvement for future would be the utensil drawer in the kitchen is currently situated so it can't be fully opened - it can only be open a few inches due the wall in front of it. Just put the utensils in a utensil jar on the counter top - much easier. Also, there weren't many spatulas/ladles/things to stir/fry your food when cooking - could do with some more. That's an easy couple of fixes. The other thing would be drying clothes. There is a washing machine but no easy way to dry your clothes. It rained a few days we were there and we had to rely on the small towel drying rack in the downstairs shower room. This is on a timer. Well, it proved a challenge that's out it that way. We couldn't work out how to get the upstairs towel drying rack on so we didn't benefit from being able to use the two. There is a clothes maiden and, after washing our clothes mid week, we did utilise the maiden but the clothes didn't fully dry and so three days later when it was time to leave, they were still damp. An easy solution here would be to switch to a washer/drier. Other cottages we've stayed in have these and as a family with young children, we also have washing to do during the week to make our clothes last until the end of the holiday. A couple of easy fixes overall really and didn't affect the quality of our holiday at the cottage. We had a great week and would definitely book again in future.

  Firstly - the beds - they were actually comfortable. This might be a first for us - and we stay in cottages every year! We've been visiting/staying in Beaumaris for the past 15 years and we will definitely be booking this cottage again! We really appreciated the little extras - condiments, loo rolls, kitchen towel - even shampoos and dishwasher/laundry tablets - very thoughtful! A very cosy comfortable cottage! The gardens are really lovely and the owner has put a lot of thought into safety aspects. As a helpful point I would put a modesty blind in the bathroom as neighbours can see straight in from their garden - we had to keep the blind down all week. Also a heated airer would be useful as our clothes stayed damp all week. Wouldn't put us off returning however!

  The smoke alarm on landing activated at 3am for no apparent reason. Nice garden and comfortable bed.

  The extra secure and private garden was an absolute godsend with us having our dog Ria with us, she loved the garden as did we. So close to all the amenities, would definitely recommend and book again.

• "Absolutely beautiful Cottage: well looked after and in a super position in the village."

  The garden and yard area were private & spacious. Quality towels & bedding- Lots of complimentary items available- Tea/coffee/ sugar/ salt/ pepper/ oil as well as shampoo & shower gel. Etc. Plus lots of useful & practical items making it home from home even bits to make the dogs stay welcome. Car parking was on the road and most of the time we were parked just down the road from the cottage as double yellows out side, on a few occasions we were on the next road, but didn’t take long to work out where the free parking was. So many beautiful beaches and walks close by and pretty villages . We never needed to go far . We tried Harry’s Bistro, Dylan’s & Victoria and were all excellent ( in different ways) the views at the last 2 are spectacular . A fabulous bakery ( down a little side street) and the friendly butcher in the deli ( great steaks) We had a super stay, helped by the fabulous weather. Note- not mentioned in the advert but No barbecuing. ( so don’t take your own

• "We had a wonderful stay at Amelie Cottage, it had everything we needed and such a great location!"

  Lovely comfy sofas to relax on after a day exploring the beaches of Anglesey with our dog. We had a slight issue with one of the appliances and Matt was straight round and went above and beyond to remedy it. Lovely and quiet cottage despite being so centrally located. We will definitely be back to stay next time we are heading to Beaumaris to see family. Only thing I would note is that the grassed garden is through another gate so not attached to the cottage itself, but it’s a gorgeous garden and perfect for stargazing with a hot chocolate! There is no phone signal in town but the cottage has really good WiFi so it was lovely to escape from the phone for a week! We would have loved to stay an extra week! We have already recommended the cottage to our family and friends who wish to visit Anglesey!

  Amelie Cottage, you have done us proud yet again. You are a home from home and a place we can hugely relax. Beaumaris, Menai Bridge and Snowdonia have offered us warm hospitality this week. All pubs sampled successfully! We particularly enjoyed the ones with open fires/ log burners i.e Bull, George, Castle and Liverpool Arms! Great walk this year up and around Tal Y Fan parking at sychnant pass. Wonderful views from the top to the sea and then across the Conwy Valley. The fairy Glen made us very welcome afterwards!
