"There are a lot of positive things about this property."
It is beautifully decorated and all the furniture looks lovely. It is in a great position for the shops, cafes and waterfront. Parking is easy, it is quiet, and once the central heating is on, it is warm. There are a few things that are not so good though. The front door will not fully open so getting bags in and out is a bit awkward. All the internal doors are swollen so you have to pull hard to get them open and really push them to get them closed. As other people have said, the lighting in the main room is extremely poor and it is gloomy and difficult to read even with all the lights on. The lights themselves are strangely organised and we found it difficult to switch them on and off. The fire is very fiddly to light. Having the fridge outside of the kitchen is a bit annoying when you're preparing food. I felt it would make much more sense to have the fridge in the kitchen, and get rid of the kitchen table, as having two dining tables and two sets of dining chairs seemed unnecessary to me. It was a nice gesture to find a bottle of milk in the fridge. We used it, but too late realised it was off and our food and drinks were spoiled. We looked at the bottle and it said use by 6th October. We arrived as arranged on 8th October. I appreciate that this was a genuine mistake but it didn't get the holiday off to a great start. The bathroom is also quite difficult to use and the shower and bath are hard to access for anyone with even slightly reduced mobility. Some of these issues would be less difficult in the summer, and for some people they would not be issues at all. It really is a very well presented house. It was big enough for two of us; I feel it would be a bit of a squeeze for four people, but again in the summer, it would probably be easier.

"Our only problem was the lighting in the lounge which was not adequate for «crafty« folk like us (ie needlework)."
Otherwise the whole experience in the cottage was excellent. We would definitely return. Thank you.

"Beautiful Cottage Home from Home Will book again next year"
-
"The cottage was lovely and so convenient for Beaumaris High Street and just round the corner from central Bakery which is excellent."
The lounge/dinner was lovely with comfortable seating. The kitchen and utility were well equipped although I would have liked a Wok to cook with. The bedrooms were quite tight and, being fussy, we would have liked a king-size rather than double beds but there is insufficient room. However the beds were very comfortable. We managed to park in the street and found it was very peaceful, although the church bells and seagulls doing their rendition of happy feet were distracting the first night for my wife. Loved the place and would certainly look to book next year.

"Lovely little cottage."
Well equipped kitchen where everything was thought of. I even did my washing before I left. Probably a new sofa and chairs wouldn’t go amiss. The only real negative would be the television. It took a day to get it working. It’s freesat and a signal nightmare. Top tip.,if you will use the tv and have a fire stick then take it with you We did and it was a godsend. Other than that it was perfect. Spotlessly clean. Comfy beds . Beaumaris is lovely. Plenty to see and do. Nice shops and cafes.,The cottage is a 10 minute walk to town. The George and dragon pub does lovely fish n chips.don’t bother with the fish n chip shops. They don’t get particularly good reviews, don’t look clean and are run by teenagers who probably can’t be bothered. The Sunday lunch was also great at the George. All in all a lovely stay.

Visited with a friend, the house was amazing, welcoming and cosy, had everything we could need, it felt like we were at home, would absolutely recommend to stay here, we would definitely stay here again
-
"The cottage was spotlessly clean and comfortable."
It is in a great location being very close to all amenities. We will recommend to our friends, and we hope to return.
-
"Cottage could not have been nicer,in fact we would be happy to move in!"
Thank you to the property owner

"Excellent"
-
"Very comfortable cottage with very good facilities and in a great location."
Only maintenance problem was the toilet seat wasn’t very secure but other than that everything was great. Would definitely recommend to friends if they were staying in the area.
-
"We had a lovely week away in your cottage."
Perfect location and everything we needed.
-
"Bryn Haf is a comfortable and cosy cottage, it’s ideal for rest and relaxation."
The kitchen is well equipped with tidy storage. I couldn’t get the tv to work during my stay but the Wi-Fi worked throughout which was great. The garden is starting to come alive for Spring and the cottage is perfectly situated for refreshing walks to and around Beaumaris seafront.
-
"Bryn Haf was a great base in Beaumaris."
Close to the high street and a few minutes walk from the seafront and pier. We had no problem finding a parking space either. Cottage was lovely and had everything you might need - the only recommendation I would have is potentially a house umbrella for unorganised people like me
-
"We’ve had a wonderful stay at Bryn Haf."
The property was just as it is in the photos, spotlessly clean and an ideal base to explore Beaumaris with just a few minutes walk from the shops and beach. The kitchen was spacious and really well equipped. We cooked throughout the holiday and wasn’t missing a thing, was like home from home. Bedrooms were lovely and plenty of storage and hangers. It was nice to have the smallest room as storage so we could put our cases out of the way. Nothing really bad to say about the cottage, maybe just that the garden might not be suitable for families with small children as was on different levels with steps but was perfect for us and such a sun trap. There is on street parking and although we never got outside the house we were never too far away.
-
"On street parking is ‘hit and miss’ - could be a problem with young children."
Kitchen could be better equipped - slow cooker, microwave dishes etc would have been welcome. Welcome pack could be improved - a pint of milk, small packet of biscuits, half a dozen tea bags and solidified instant coffee was disappointing. Would only rebook if there wasn’t an alternative.
-
"Enjoyed another great week Bryn Haf."
Very comfortable, clean and well equipped property in a quiet central location in beautiful Beaumaris.
-
"This is our second year at Bryn Haf ."
Perfect home from home . Everything you could possibly need to enjoy your stay. Attention to detail is perfect. A short walk to all amenities. A great base to explore Anglesey. We will be back again very soon.
-
"Had a lovely stay in the cottage."
Definitely recommend it to our friends and family. Beds were very comfy. Had everything we needed.
-
"“ A lovely little cottage, very well equipped and spotlessly clean, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay."
Thank you so much for your lovely feedback. I am so glad that you had a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Property Owner
-
"Really lovely property, nicely kept."
We had another lovely stay and will look forward to returning.
-
"Very clean and well equipped."
Comfortable beds. There is a continous running water sound in the bathroom. Getting reception for mobile phone impossible within the house.
-
"Lovely home, comfortable and clean, everything you need for a relaxing holiday."
-
"Homely property, well appointed."
Spacious rooms but small bathroom. Satellite TV and WiFi are a plus. Short walk to main street and pier. Beaumaris has some interesting shops and lots of places to eat. Good base for visiting both Anglesey and Snowdonia.
Thank you very much for your very positive response. It is always very pleasing when guests take the trouble to provide feedback and I am so glad you had a lovely time. Property Owner

"Bryn Haf is a really lovely and cosy cottage."
Great position in Beaumaris, close to the amenities but far enough away in a quiet street and you feel calm and relaxed. There was an issue with the tv, in the fact that it didn’t work at all, and this had been reported in a previous review and again to Sykes a few days before our holiday. However, the owner got people on to it immediately and the problem was resolved within a couple of days. The rest of our holiday was lovely.
The TV was working fine, But the seagulls have been very challenging in altering its position. We changed the Ariel to the satellite dish and this should resolve the problem permanently. We are grateful to Mrs Richmond and her family for her patience. Property Owner

"Extremely good cottage, spacious, light and airy the decor was tasteful and relaxing."
Very comfortable beds, towels were great quality too. The kitchen was well equipped and the table in there was lovely to sit at for breakfast as the light poured in. We were blessed with great weather the majority of our stay so took advantage of the seating outside seating area. Very tranquil environment and a short walk to the town with plenty of shops and amenities. A great base to explore the area and returning there after a day out was a delight. Lovely place to stay and we will return. * Not a complaint as we were not bothered about watching tv, however we did notice that there was no reception at all for any of the channels. We were trying to catch up on the news.
-
"Yet again we had a wonderful stay at Bryn Haf So comfortable and cozy We felt so at home we can give it nothing but praise !"
-
"This cottage is absolutely stunning & a credit to the owner."
Beautifully & tastefully decorated, immaculately clean & well equipped - bed was soooo comfortable. Would love to go back in the summer to make use of the lovely garden. Love Anglesey - particularly Beaumaris & this is an excellent base for exploring all it has to offer. I will definitely be back!

"There was no loo roll!"
I assume this was a mistake. There were also bedside lamps with no bulbs, and no plug available to plug them in, so were only for the "look". Not sure if there were any spare bulbs should you need them. More cutlery would be useful, to avoid having to wash up. Unclear how to use recycling. That said it is a 9.5 our of ten cottage.
Thank you for your comments which are very much appreciated. The lamps work very well but someone appears to have removed the extension lead which enables both lamps to work. I am very disappointed that there were no bulbs as these are checked with every changeover. I have raised this with my cleaning company. I have also purchased a second set of cutlery although I do pride myself on having one of the best equipped kitchens! I am so glad you enjoyed your stay otherwise. It means a lot to me. "We had such a relaxing time."
-
"The cottage was lovely, and in a very convenient spot."
Two points to note: There wasn't enough cutlery, for use with the dishwasher. The recycling needs to be explained in much more detail, I had to check on the council's website. The parking was a nightmare, but there's not a lot anyone can do about that. Apart from those points, the cottage was perfect.
-
"Our second stay here."
Well equipped, cosy cottage with tasteful furnishings. Very comfortable beds. Kitchen could do with a casserole dish. Access to shower is via quite a high sided bath, and there is nowhere to put the soap. But these are minor details Very close to town centre and all amenities.
Thank you for your helpful feedback. I will follow up your suggestions Property Owner

"Lovely house in a great location for the town."
The house was well equipped and tastefully decorated with a delightful garden. Couldn’t have asked for a nicer stay.
-
"Beautiful cottage in a great location."
Peaceful and quiet but also central for all amenities of Beaumaris. Would definitely stay here again .
-
"Staying in Beaumaris is always a pleasure."
Saying at Bryan Haf was also a pleasure. Beutufully presented and well equipped it provided a centrally convenient location and a relaxing quiet environment. Okay it would be nice if it had sea views and is a cottage style typical of the area, but do not be put off by any external approach. It's a really good base to enjoy Beaumaris and Anglesey.
-
"It was fantastic!"
!!
-
"Beaumaris is probably the best area to stay as its small but with plenty of facilities and has a great location for touring the island."
Bryn Haf is a lovely house, thoughtfully refurbished, furnished in traditional style rather than contemporary, but extremely tasteful and excellent quality pieces Such a bright and sunny house it gets the sun all day, and the back garden is a fantastic suntrap in the afternoon. The house has everything we could have wanted for our week there, including a hairdryer which may not be listed online Feedback to Sykes local representative about a bedroom window that didnt open was dealt with immediately when the office next opened. The house was spotless, but I did point out to Sykes locally a couple of things that should be taken into consideration for future renters All in all we had a wonderful stay, and we would highly recommend Bryn Haf......Enjoy your stay :)

"Heating was on 24/7 so we had to keep switching radiators on and off to cgontrol temperature."
We didn't touch system as folder of instructions left by owners said heating was set to timed and not to touch the settings so we didn't however this needs to be addressed
Thank you for your feedback, I am surprised to learn the heating was on continuous as it is always on a timer. There is also an emergency contact number for occupants and this would have quickly resolved the issue. I do hope you enjoyed your stay. Kind regards Property Owner

"A beautiful, cosy, comfortable cottage, tastefully furnished and very clean."
The beds were super comfortable. Very handy for all amenities in Beaumaris, yet in a quiet location. Road side parking was ok, but may be more difficult in the height of the holiday season. Beaumaris was a good centre to explore the rest of Anglesey, and it was lovely to stroll round the town straight out of your own front door. We were lucky to hear Beaumaris brass band practising outdoors. Communication from Sykes was excellent, especially regarding Covid guidelines.
-
"Absolutely gorgeous in a fantastic location."
-
"It was a really lovely, comfortable cottage, the only slight downside was that the tiles at the shower end of the bath needed a good clean and bleach as did the shower screen (although it could do with a new shower screen) everything else was just lovely."
It was well equipped, the beds were very comfy and it was in a good location. We had no problem parking on the road outside the cottage.
-
"Super comfortable cottage, tastefully appointed, very clean with modern, almost new appliances etc."
In a quiet position but just minutes from the shops, places to eat and beachfront. Lovely little garden where you can enjoy the late afternoon sunshine.

"Accommodation was 1st class."
Lovely

"Lovely cottage in a lovely location."
The cottage was very well.equipped. We just found the seating in the lounge area uncomfortable.
Thank you for your comments. I am happy to hear you enjoyed the location and the cottage. I am surprised to hear of your comments on the seating as we have not received any complaints before, the sofa & chair is ‘Laura Ashley’ and still quite new, the other chair is from ‘Ikea’ and a best seller. We will continue to monitor feedback from guests. Thanks again and we hope to welcome you back in the future. Property Owner
-
"A nice spacious livingroom, kitchen and pretty garden."
We will book again in the near future.
-
"Lovely cottage clean ."
beds very comfy , utility room very good with all mod cons . My only thoughts are the floor brush was useless as head twisted round could not use on carpets so a vacuum cleaner would be good as we were here in cottage for a week . Bryn Haf in new street Beaumaris was lovely close to restaurants shops boat trips castle loved Beaumaris
-
"Absolutely fab cottage everything you could possibly want catered for."
One point I would make however is that they should include a Hoover. As when living there for a week it would be nice to be able to hoover occasionally. Downside is parking was extremely difficult to park in front of cottage after days out. Probably wouldn’t book again as for us that is a major flaw with cottage.
-
"Lovely cottage in the equally lovely town of Beaumaris."
An Excellent location for exploring Anglesey, with excellent restaurants, attractions and amenities on the doorstep. Beaumaris castle, and the many boat trips around Puffin Island being the highlights. The cottage was clean, well equipped, and had a wonderful home from home feeling. Recommended.
-
"We felt very much at home at Bryn Haf, a delightful holiday cottage."
The owner made us very welcome. We were very comfortable and had everything we needed. Parking outside the property was not a problem, and it was only a few streets away from the main shopping street. Beaumaris is a lovely little town with plenty of shops, cafes and places to visit. Not to be missed is a cruise to Puffin Island from the pier at Beaumaris. The cottage is an ideal base for touring Anglesey and just a short distance from Menai Bridge so easy access to North Wales.

About the location
BEAUMARIS
Menai Bridge 4 miles.
Beaumaris is a well known historic town on the Isle of Anglesey situated on the Menai Strait and overlooking the Snowdonia mountain range, making for the most stunning of sunrises. With its medieval castle (now a World Heritage site) dating back to the reign of Edward I and its Victorian pier, gaol and courthouse, it is also known as a major centre for yachting. Beaumaris is rich in history and retains much of its medieval street pattern. It’s setting, diversity of architectural styles and periods, differing scale, open spaces, varying roofs and overall quality contribute greatly to the town’s character. There is a good selection of shops, restaurants and public houses, as well as fishing opportunities and boat trips in the town, plus a golf course nearby. Along the coast is a large bay called Red Wharf Bay; its Welsh name is Traeth Coch (Red Beach) and the area is renowned for its glorious sunsets. The bay is very shallow and at low tide, almost 25 square kilometres (10 sq. mi.) of sand is uncovered providing safe bathing, perfect for wonderful family fun, fishing and miles of stunning scenic walks. Further afield is the port of Holyhead, which has regular ferry links to Dublin. Beaumaris is a good central base for touring Wales, in a beautiful location on the south coast of the picturesque Isle of Anglesey, within easy reach of the spectacular mountains of Snowdonia.
