There were 7 of us (1vegan) so would have like maybe 7 frying Pans and a wok would have been useful.

The house is full of charm and feels like home from home. When we arrived everything was immaculate; the fixtures, fittings and accessories are all top quality. The garden is beautiful..well established and cared for, just lovely. The potting shed with its huge geraniums is a peaceful spot for grandparents to hide from their grandchildren! An incredibly well stocked games cupboard, with plenty to keep us all occupied and I even started reading a book that I’ve requested from my library so that I can finish it. We love it at Bryn Tegid.

  • "The accommodation was perfect and we were impressed with the facilities."

Having the owners living next door was helpful and they had prepared the house as their home in an immaculate condition. The garden was extensive and laid out as a Victorian wilderness with small areas to sit and enjoy the plants. It became our custom to have tea in one of the secluded seating areas and discuss the days walk and put the world to rights.

Absolutely gorgeous house. Very quirky but perfectly well appointed. The garden was stunning and luckily we got to sit out and enjoy it. The position was perfect too. Just right for a stroll into town or a big walk! I’m really hoping to return

Very much home from. The only downside is that there isn’t any storage in the bathroom and kitchen to put your own items, however this would not deter me to staying again. The garden was lovely, and it was nice to relax in the evening. Highly recommend.

  • "A good property within an easy walk of the centre."

We enjoyed the local bakery, ice-cream and crabbing on the pier. The garden is beautifully planted and provides a lovely sun trap for relaxing. Managed to park on the adjacent road each time so lack of parking not too much of an issue. We'd stay again if heading this way for a holiday.

  • "This was our third visit to Bryn Tegid."

It is an amazing cottage, full of character, beauty and comfort. The holiday came to an abrupt end with us having to vacate by 9am on the Monday morning. Please review this.

Many apologies for our delay in replying but we have been out of Wi Fi contact . We are so glad you enjoy Bryn Tegid but we are sorry that you felt rushed early out of the property. I have made some enquiries and it appears to be a remnant of Covid rules . (An extra hour was needed for cleaning) At the same time we had a change in housekeeper and had evidently not updated the instructions sufficiently. We apologise for this inconvenience and thank you for pointing it out to us. Property Owner

Well equipped however we were unable to access a cabinet containing books, DVD's, games etc.. We were told that this was Covid related however given that there were lots of other items that we were free to touch in the cottage and lots of unnecessary loose furnishings then this made no sense. We however had a lovely holiday.

Lovely and cosy. Beautiful house. Four really spacious bedrooms. Fireplace. Close to shops and restaurants and a short walk to Beaumaris Pier and the sea. Highly recommended. Had to park in a side street a couple of minutes walk away but was no issue. Would definitely stay here again. Eight of us stayed here. Two adults, four teenagers and two kids under 10. Plenty of space for us all. Great facilities. Lots to keep the kids entertained. Loved it.

From the moment we opened the front door we felt at home. So much thought has gone into providing the holidaymaker with the best experience. Absolutely no negatives which is very rare these days. The decor, the furnishings, the equipment, the linen are all top drawer! Everything you will need is catered for. Loved the labelling. So many interesting artefacts. The place is very spacious and extremely well laid out. You would not believe the garden that exists behind the property. Who knew?! Everything and I mean everything is so tidy. Not a weed in sight! So many places to sit you are spoilt for choice. The potting shed is also a unique feature. Unfortunately we experienced Storm Gareth during our stay so were unable to enjoy the full experience of the garden but only to be expected in March. Credit must go to Jackie the housekeeper and her team as Bryn Tegid is absolutely immaculate in every conceivable way. We must also say thank you for the most delightful hamper on our arrival, totally unexpected but extremely appreciated. I have probably missed something out but I think you will get the general gist. We would have no hesitatation in recommending Bryn Tegid and definitely hope to return at some point during the warmer months.

About the location

BEAUMARIS

Menai Bridge 4 miles.

Beaumaris is a well known historic town on the Isle of Anglesey situated on the Menai Strait and overlooking the Snowdonia mountain range, making for the most stunning of sunrises. With its medieval castle (now a World Heritage site) dating back to the reign of Edward I and its Victorian pier, gaol and courthouse, it is also known as a major centre for yachting. Beaumaris is rich in history and retains much of its medieval street pattern. It’s setting, diversity of architectural styles and periods, differing scale, open spaces, varying roofs and overall quality contribute greatly to the town’s character. There is a good selection of shops, restaurants and public houses, as well as fishing opportunities and boat trips in the town, plus a golf course nearby. Along the coast is a large bay called Red Wharf Bay; its Welsh name is Traeth Coch (Red Beach) and the area is renowned for its glorious sunsets. The bay is very shallow and at low tide, almost 25 square kilometres (10 sq. mi.) of sand is uncovered providing safe bathing, perfect for wonderful family fun, fishing and miles of stunning scenic walks. Further afield is the port of Holyhead, which has regular ferry links to Dublin. Beaumaris is a good central base for touring Wales, in a beautiful location on the south coast of the picturesque Isle of Anglesey, within easy reach of the spectacular mountains of Snowdonia.
