Very well equipped with excellent bathrooms and comfortable large beds with 2 sitting areas allowing children to disappear! Plenty of kitchen equipment and storage and immaculately clean. Lovely welcome from owners. Minor criticism of patchy Wi-Fi (thick stone walls!) and, as in large parts of N Wales, very variable phone signal for those addicted to modern technology.....

Lynda warmly welcomed us on arrival, and we were immediately settled after our travels to a very clean, obviously once a family home rental. Impressive views that kept you captivated whatever the weather of Straits and Snowdonia range beyond - framed with a gorgeous rose garden. Property was fantastically equipped -as a home would be. Lynda & Bob were prompt with any queries. Always helpful. All we could ask for for a multi-generational family holiday. Mor Awel will remain in our favourites list - enough own space, but plenty of room to be together.

We have just spent a wonderful week at Mor Awel. The house is amazing! Spotlessly clean and comfort second to none. There were four of us on this visit but plenty of space for eight people. The lounge on the first floor has breathtaking views across the Menai to the Snowdonia range and we found it so relaxing watching all the activity on the water plus on a good day you can sit out on the balcony which was an added bonus. The second lounge on the ground floor is ideal for any teenager with the addition of SKY and plenty of seating. The kitchen diner also enjoys views of the bay whilst including everything you need to make that perfect supper. There is also a separate utility with large fridge freezer so plenty of room to stock up. Need to do some washing; not a problem with washing machine, clothes airer and even an iron and ironing board. Also, great to have private parking at the rear of the property. Something which is much appreciated in Beaumaris. Each bedroom has plenty of drawer/hanging space and our bed was so comfy. Slept so well but if like me you are allergic to feathers it's worth a mention before you go but the hosts, Linda and Bob were very accommodating and sorted that out before we arrived. Great that you all have your own bathroom too! We had king size room on second floor which was huge with again spectacular view. Our bathroom was also very spacious with oodles of character plus a beautiful double walk in shower. The house itself is literally a stride across the road to the beach and a two minute level walk to Castle Street where you will find shops, bars and eating places. Also very close to the pier where you can book boat trips to Puffin Island. Although on Anglesey which is idyllic you are still close to the mainland too with all it's wonders to explore. Zip World, Llanberis, Snowdonia railway, Aber Falls to name but a few. All in all we had a fabulous week in a house where everything is truly top notch. You certainly won't be disappointed with Mor Awel and all it has to offer! Thank you Linda and Bob for making us feel so welcome and we hope to see you again!

The owners were lovely and whilst there wasn’t an information pack with details of when to out the bins out etc, they weren’t at all phased when we missed the collection. One tiny point: some additional, larger pans in the kitchen would be useful - the items provided are excellent quality which is a lovely touch, but we struggled a little with the size of them. About the location

BEAUMARIS

Menai Bridge 4 miles.

Beaumaris is a well known historic town on the Isle of Anglesey situated on the Menai Strait and overlooking the Snowdonia mountain range, making for the most stunning of sunrises. With its medieval castle (now a World Heritage site) dating back to the reign of Edward I and its Victorian pier, gaol and courthouse, it is also known as a major centre for yachting. Beaumaris is rich in history and retains much of its medieval street pattern. It’s setting, diversity of architectural styles and periods, differing scale, open spaces, varying roofs and overall quality contribute greatly to the town’s character. There is a good selection of shops, restaurants and public houses, as well as fishing opportunities and boat trips in the town, plus a golf course nearby. Along the coast is a large bay called Red Wharf Bay; its Welsh name is Traeth Coch (Red Beach) and the area is renowned for its glorious sunsets. The bay is very shallow and at low tide, almost 25 square kilometres (10 sq. mi.) of sand is uncovered providing safe bathing, perfect for wonderful family fun, fishing and miles of stunning scenic walks. Further afield is the port of Holyhead, which has regular ferry links to Dublin. Beaumaris is a good central base for touring Wales, in a beautiful location on the south coast of the picturesque Isle of Anglesey, within easy reach of the spectacular mountains of Snowdonia.
