• "The property was wonderful, facilities exceptional!"

  kitchen facilities especially. We love cooking and eating as a family so the utensils and pots and pans etc were super. The utility room was excellent and the ease of sorting the waste as required in Wales was made super easy. The views from the bungalow wonderful when either in the lounge or at the dining table, beautiful. The maintenance log is a very good idea for those things that suddenly crop up as a way of letting the owners know., to be fixed before the next visitors arrive. The one thing that we were slightly disappointed with was the absence of Netflix on the lounge television as it was advertised on the property particulars. We did contact you to enquire. We don’t watch much television and would have liked to all settle down to a good film in the evening. We had an absolutely super time thank you and thanks for arranging such splendid weather at this time of year!!

• "Excellent property."

  Presented in all areas to a very high standard. Real home from home feel. Only issue we had was walking distance to restaurants. Further than we thought We are however 79 and 81. I drove to the Indian restaurant in the Square one night and we had a taxi to Pebbles Bistro another. Both are very good. A most enjoyable holiday. Would certainly recommend Pauline

• "Lovely property."

  Very clean and well presented. We loved the view from the front window of the sea. The garden was great to sit in once the sun finally came out towards the end of our stay. The welcome treats were very much appreciated. Despite our children being older they loved the buckets and spades for the beach and having beach towels available was also great. Thank you Scott and Paul we will hopefully return.

• "Very complicated waste disposal"

  Thank you for your 5 star rating. We are a little disappointed by your comment - especially given that in your text to us upon departure you said “Thank you for providing a fabulous holiday home. All was good in the house”. Our recycling procedure uses local authority supplied boxes to separate waste in order that we adhere to the Recycling Laws introduced by Welsh Government in April 2024 which apply to holiday let’s in Wales. Any property you might stay in within Wales that does not separate waste is operating illegally. It is not our intention to make things complicated however it is our intention to stay within the laws governing holiday let’s which can be seen from the fire safety measures etc in place in Cartref. • "We loved staying in this cottage."

  It is done to such a high standard. Loved the welcome package - probably the best one we have ever received. Great facilities, lots of space in the garage. The bedding felt hotel quality as well as the little toiletries in each bathroom and laundry bags in each room. The washing machine and drier were amazing to have especially for a family of 5. Kitchen so well stocked and the Nespresso machine was probably what won us over

• "We really enjoyed our stay at Cartref, though the weather was cold the house was lovely and warm."

  It has everything, and it is well laid out with easy instructions for all applicances etc. We were able to simply get on with enjoying our holiday. It seems like it has been recently refurbished as everything was new and modern. The owners were very helpful and could be contacted easily.

• "What a wonderful half-term holiday!"

  We are very fond of Anglesey but this was our first trip to Benllech. Cartref gave us great views of the ever-changing skies over the sea and was very handy for getting down to the beach. The house was incredibly well equipped with plenty pots, board games and TVs, so we enjoyed staying in on the rainy days. Everyone was thrilled with the luxurious decor and standard of cleanliness throughout the property, making it feel like a really special holiday. Many thanks to the owners who clearly work very hard to provide a high quality holiday home and a wonderful experience. We'd love to stay with you again!

• "This was a return visit for us and the wow factor was definitely still there."

  This property is immaculately presented with every need catered for. The attention to detail is the best we've experienced with Paul and Scott making sure your holiday is trouble free. They go to a lot of trouble to make sure your arrival is perfect too, with a fabulous welcome pack full of local produce, fresh flowers and wine. We cannot fault this property and will definitely return in the near future.

• "Wow! What a beautiful cottage."

  Paul and Scott have spared no expense in making this the perfect holiday home. It is immaculate. Furnishings and equipment of the highest standard. Warm and cosy( the weather during our stay was dreadful) . Great position close to beach . Lovely sea views. Local eateries very good. Co-op well stocked and only a short distance away.   Worthy of having 5 stars. Lovely welcome pack which was much appreciated. Close to the beach, coastal path and town with good restasurants and cafes. When the tide is out it is possible to walk along the beach to Red Whard Bay.

• "Beautiful spotlessly clean bungalow, only minutes walk from the beach and 5 minutes to shops cafes, bars etc ."

  Amazing welcome pack with wine crackers biscuits, milk butter tea coffee and hot chocolate. Lovely walk along Benlech beach to red wharf bay . Only one thing that could have made the stay even better, would be a gate at the side of the house, as we stayed with a 2 year old and needed to be in the garden at all times with her , but this did not distract from a wonderful stay

• "What an absolutely first class property!"

  We enjoyed every single moment of our stay and had everything we could have asked for. It was our first holiday together with Grandchildren and their parents, and it couldn't have been better. The double beds were a little smaller than we are used to, but that's just nitpicking, our 8 year old Granddaughter couldn't believe she had her own beautiful room, expecting to share with her 6 year old brother, Ha Ha! And he was delighted to be sharing with his Mum and our son. The location is just perfect, and as the weather behaved mostly, we were able to pop to the gorgeous beach, 5 minutes walk away, once any clouds parted for the sunshine, or indeed pop back 'home' again in a jiffy if the weather changed, brilliant! Off road parking for two cars was just ideal for us as well as we travelled separately, and it was obvious that parking near to the beach is limited other than the Pay and Display car parks. Bonus! Sorry we didn't have time to leave a review in the Comments book at Cartref though, we were too busy having fun. Many thanks to the owners and their team for providing us with the most perfect and memorable bungalow to spend our first full holiday together as a family. The memories made are simply priceless.

• "Cartref was everthing that we had expected and more besides!"

  .As equipment goes there was nothing else that we needed and we felt that Scott and Paul had put much thought into the matching decor and everthing else' It was absolutely spotless when we arrived,and like to think it was the same when we left on Saturday. We did have some rain,and had the veranda outside the kitchen had a roof covering to add the heater provided,we would have been able to use it more. Just a small point.!!.

• "Cartref is a lovely house in perfect condition, and it was spotlessly clean when we arrived."

  It is really well equipped, and the provision of beach towels as well as house towels was a real bonus as it saved space in our car. The owners contacted us in advance to let us have extra information, and they were friendly and helpful in all their communication with us.

• "We (2 adults 2 x children and a 10 month old baby) had an amazing time at this property (we even got great weather!"

  !) . We were there for a week and we have nothing but praise for this rental. The location was perfect to enable us to walk down to the beach in 5 minutes. The house was immaculate in terms of cleanliness and facilities. The owners obviously listen to reviews given and care about the people staying here as was nothing that wasnt provided to ensure that we didnt want for anything. I have stayed in rented properties on numerous occasions previously and i can honestly say this is the best property i have been to. Thankyou so much. I would definitely return.

• "This is one of the best holiday properties we have ever stayed in."

  It is superbly fitted out and extremely comfortable. The location is very good with sea views, shops and eateries within walking distance. The one small problem we had with a difficult closing window was dealt with immediately. Everywhere was spotlessly clean and the welcome pack was just that and had been thoughtfully out. We couldn’t fault anything except the rather wet and windy weather.
