  • "The house itself was perfect, couldn't have wished for better, comfortable, clean and very well equipped."

My only critisism would be, as a pet friendly property, my 2 year old boxer walked very gingerly on the gravel in the back garden. On checking I found it to be very course and sharp, and obviously not pleasant on her paws.

Problem with bedside lighting and loose toilet seat. Apart from that penelope is in an ideal location close to beach and facilities and a nice seaview from the back garden.

However the bathroom is limited in size but still contains all the fittings required. The bungalow is located in the centre of benllech and is well placed to explore the island of Anglesey.

The cottage was comfy even though we ended up sleeping in single beds as smell of mold in double bedroom . Area was quiet which we liked dog didn't like going for number 2 on the stones though so had to keep taking him out To do that . The holiday was comfy cottage cleanish and area quiet close to everything . It would benefit if it had wi fi and maybe a little bit of grassed area at back . On the whole we enjoyed our stay

  • "We had a very comfortable, happy holiday in Penelope."

The kitchen was well equipped and lovely hot water. The garden was secure for our little dog. Penelope is well situated in Benllech, surrounded by Spar shop, Pip’s Pet supplies, Co op and Tesco extra. Fresh crab shop (our favourite), the Jolly Fryer. There is a quick cut through to beach between Dentist and the church, with a gushing waterfall, surrounded by trees. A bit of a hill To walk back. You can park for 1 hour in front of sea/beach, buy coffee ice cream etc, with a gorgeous view.

Close to shops takeaways and restaurants. Short walk to Beautiful Benllech beach but uphill walk back! Because of my husbands mobility problems we drove down to the big carpark most days. The property was well equipped , WiFi would have been a plus also some seating at the front outside to take in the late sun

I had to clean the bath before usage. The neighbour sadly is impeding the sea view with overgrown bushes. Needs WiFi installing and a washing machine. Had a lovely stay though.

  • "Very impressed with the facilities provided."

Due to the lack of space in the kitchen area what was missing was a clothes washing machine. Full marks must be given for all the other facilities provided in the kitchen area. If there is one area criticism it is the mattresses provided for the two single beds. I like a firm bed however these were exceptionally hard and the principal reason why I could not give this residency top marks.

Sea view from the back garden whilst sitting on the decking. Has everything you need apart from washing machine and no WiFi, which wasn't a problem only staying for a week. Would stay again in a heartbeat and highly recommended

  • "We have stayed at Penelope before and would certainly recommend it."

The bungalow is beautifully kept, so comfortable and in a good location. There are shops nearby, plus a lovely sandy beach which is walkable but an uphill climb on your return. Plenty of parking down there. The whole island is accessible with lots of lovely bays to explore.

Also down from the kitchen to the garden. I have a slight mobility problem but managed as there is a grab bar at the back, but someone with further issues may struggle. Just so people are aware. Cannot fault the size of the bungalow and the convenience to the the shops and local restaurants. The property was very clean and spacious. Heating was easy to use. Will definitely stay again. The only negative was the lack of a washing machine or a spin dryer as needed to hand wash.

Very disappointed indeed that the owner cannot take responsibility for the condition of the property was in on our arrival.

Yes there are a few odd jobs that need doing but overall it is a lovely place to stay. Ideal for the shops they are literally a minute away. Five minutes to the best Sandy beach. We would love WiFi but were well informed about this. Beds really comfortable and I would recommend this property.

  • "We had a lovely holiday in Penelope."

It was immaculately clean and so so comfortable. I think someone took a toothbrush to it! It oozes good quality. The beds are so comfortable and the quilts/pillow and all of the linen is such good quality and smells lovely! Sue the housekeeper is a real positive. She communicates very quickly If you text or ring her, even about silly issues such as the bins!! She is such a lovely lady! I know if we had any problems she would sort them out (but tbh this is such a lovely bungalow in such a fab area, I'm not sure what problems you would have?). It's very quiet so don't pan on having a rave here! Okay lets deal with the negatives: Lack of wifi! I used my hotspot which hardly used any of my data and if it's an issue with Netflix - get a life! I quite enjoyed revising some of our old dvd's etc! The garden is difficult to access and is only sunny in the morning. BUT: The fact that they allow a dog is amazing! It's also very cheap compared to other places and it's right in the heart of Benllech! With all that offers! Shops/pubs/restauramts/takeways. And also in the centre of Anglesey with all of its beautiful places to see. There is so much to do here and this place is so warm and comfortable to come back to! We love this area and this is a very good value place to stay, central and very well appointed! Thanks Sue! xx

Very clean and bright. Just a couple of things I would advice, Leave a few pointers as to the heating, (we were really cold for a couple of days till I realised all the plugs were switched off, (not used to that at home). Bin collection days (this was on a small piece of paper on the notice board). I know it can be very 'hit and miss' but I missed not being able to use the internet. All in all, we had a nice time.
