  • "A lovely cottage with SUPERB hosts."

So friendly, and helpful. We have stayed here three times now, and can't wait to come back again. It really is perfect. Spotlessly clean, and the views are incredible! We love this gorgeous little gem.

Owners very friendly and helpful without in anyway imposing, even coming to the rescue by providing us with a sewing kit to patch up our Granddaughter's dolly. Beaumaris is nearby and is a lovely traditional seaside town, and there are many beaches within easy reach.Come rain or shine Anglesey remains relaxing and unspoilt.

Ruth is very welcoming and everything is thoughtfully provided for, e.g. tea towels, bedding, towels, iron, washing up liquid, salt & vinegar, flowers and goodies for us and our dog. It's a shame that although there is a booster for the hot water, it doesn't provide enough hot water for a deep soak in the bath and the bathroom sink water tends to drain slowly. It's a lovely place to stay and dog friendly Ty Hir, next door, can also be booked through Sykes, for larger family gatherings. We would highly recommend a stay here.

Great location plenty to explore close by. The owner visited near the end of the week. (Lovely lady) They advertise that it has a log burner. In fact it has a coal fire and an electric log effect fire sitting in front of it. There’s a coal bunker outside the garden gate we bought some logs for it as well.(nice and cosy). I couldn’t find a fire guard although they there was a child safety one in the cupboard. If we ever get back to Anglesey we would definitely stay there again.

Beautiful new bathroom with separate shower not on website and should be. Fantastic enclosed gardens back and front which was very large and ideal for dogs and/or children. Kitchen was basic and clean but we did not always have hot water though but not a problem for us. Amazing views of Menai straight from our bedroom window. Ruth (the owner) who was very pleasant and friendly, met us in the front garden one wet and windy day as we were on our way walking to get provisions from the local shop (small Morrisons), to see if we were okay. As weather was very mixed it was a good cottage to snuggle in. There was even a towel provided to wipe our little dog's wet paws as well as dog biscuits.

The view from the cottage was amazing and our dog loved the garden. Did we enjoy our stay? Yes. Would we stay there again? The host popped by on our first night to say hello and introduce herself. The space in the garden was great for our Jack Russell who ran and ran for her ball. There were a few days when we just stayed and enjoyed the peace and quiet to recharge our batteries. It is close enough to loads of things to do if you need to get out and about but you don’t have to go very far. Inside the property is very well equipped with not much overlooked. Beware of the shower as it will leak if left on full but we were warned about that and if you run a bath then you may run out of hot water but if you know then you look out for these things. Overall we were very pleased with everything. Our neighbours at the time had been coming to the properties for 15 years so they must be good

  • "An absolutely brilliant week."

The cottage was spotless and had everything that you could possibly need. It was obvious that the owners take pride in their property. The size of the gardens are huge and are dog friendly and lend to the possibility of some larger furniture as the existing table and chairs, though adequate, are a little dated. The cottage is homely, the kitchen and utility room are well stocked, the bedrooms are comfy, you could go on. The owner was welcoming and seemed genuine in his welcome. The owners do also own the attached cottage but you have complete privacy as their gardens are also secure and private. The local shop is around 10 minutes walk and well stocked though you do have the options of Beaumaris nearby. All in all a wonderful week and we wouldn't have any hesitancy in returning .
