  • "A lovely little cottage with all the facilities you could ask for."

Narrow and steep stairs and a very small bathroom, which is typical for the properties age, but I would have liked to have seen this in the listing. Ideal for exploring Anglesey and the surrounding area.

  • "A lovely clean cottage with everything you would need for the duration of your stay."

A very welcome gift pack on arrival. My only disappointment was the size of the downstairs shower room, not enough room to dry off when out of the shower due to the sink taking up all the room. Other than that we had a very comfortable stay. The owner Richard is helpful and very friendly.

However we messaged Richard the owner who attended quickly and sorted the problem. The only other thing was the rear garden is not dog secure they managed to get into next doors garden. Nonetheless this will not put us off returning

Hi, thank you for your feedback. I’m sorry your stay didn’t live up to expectations and with your car breaking down as well it must have been an awful week. Sorry my garage chap that fixed mine with the same problem couldn’t help in the short time you were here. The fire alarm had a faulty battery unfortunately, the supplier swapped it when I took it back. You would have been welcome to call me during the night I would had gladly attended out of hours. Looks like the hole in the hedge had appeared with some screening perishing and has been fixed now, thank you for letting me know. Glad to see positive in your review that you would gladly return. • "Thank you for allowing us to stay in your very charming Cottage."

We could not fault anything at all. Starting with the first impression when entering the cottage we found it very comfortable, cosy and well equipped. Unfortunately, the endless rain and cold weather impaired our enjoyment, in particular since we relied on public transport. Finally, we had to cut short our stay by one day. If you are looking for a quiet country retreat we would definitely recommend Lilac Cottage.

We would not hesitate to book this cottage again if it is available when we next visit Anglesey!
