  • "We had a great week on Anglesey, made more comfortable knowing we had a great house to go back to for the evening."

The house was really well looked after and kept very clean and tidy. We also found it well stocked with all we needed for a stay away from home. We can highly recommend the property and when we return to Anglesey again in the future we will look to see if this house is available. Thanks for making our holiday so comfortable.

The kitchen is well stocked with utensils and crockery, pretty much everything is catered for. Would highly recommend to anyone wishing to book, you won't be disappointed.

  • "Loo roll holder not fixed."

TV reception terrible. Shower floor like a skating rink dangerous. Toilet flush faulty.

We were sorry to hear you had a couple of issues. Our cleaning company had alerted us to the broken toilet roll holder after your stay and we are currently arranging for it to be fixed as soon as convenient with other guests. We have also contacted the guests that have followed you in and they haven’t reported any of the above issues and are enjoying their stay. We regularly check the property to ensure we maintain high standards for our guests and visited on the morning of the 18th August prior to your arrival. We can therefore confirm that everything was intact an in good working order including the toilet roll holders and both toilets were flushing as normal. The shower tray has never caused an issue before and we can only think that soap or shampoo had been spilt during your visit which may have had negative impact on the performance of the shower tray. The TV was also checked and appeared to be working well although occasionally the weather conditions on Anglesey can interfere slightly with the reception. Property Owner

  • "Really enjoyed our stay, thank you."

I would recommend fitting blackout blinds in the bedroom! The light coming through the window had me up at 4.30 am each day.

We are glad you enjoyed your stay. The main bedroom has good quality blackout curtains at both the window and Juliet balcony, however a couple of curtain hooks had come off therefore letting light in at the top, I have put them back and it has resolved the issue, thank you. Property Owner

  • "Such a beautiful house."

We loved the beachy decoration and how comfortable and cosy it was. The garden was perfect for my 2 children and all the facilities were great. We felt instantly safe and happy in this property and would come back again. The location is also brilliant, this is the third time we have visited Anglesey and there is just so much to do. (Thankyou for the welcome tea and biscuits also!)

Thank you so much and we are glad you enjoyed your stay. We look forward to welcoming you back in the future. :-) Property Owner

Pub and Indian Restaurant (recommended) 5 minutes walk away! We had an issue with the hot water but the owner Amanda had an engineer out to fix it the next day. Delightful quiet location, one we will be going back to! Five stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

  • "Generally we were very happy with the quality of the accommodation and comfort."

Unfortunately the property needed a good sweep when we arrived as the floor downstairs was covered in crumbs and other food detritus. The fridge had also not been cleaned after the previous guests. We were disappointed that in a property with a dishwasher (which we do not have at home) washing tablets or liquid were not provided and we had to purchase these ourselves. This was not communicated to us in the pre-holiday information.

Thank you for your feedback and we're glad to hear your were very happy with the quality and comfort of the accommodation. We are sorry to hear you were unhappy with cleanliness. Our cleaners are always extremely thorough and take pride in their work. After each clean they take a few photos of the interior, including a photo of the inside of the fridge to ensure high standards are maintained. We have reviewed the photos, and everything looks very clean, so we are very surprised by your comments. With regards to the dishwasher tablets, a starter pack is always left for our guests which includes a couple of dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid, a couple of sachets of washing machine detergent, milk and biscuits etc. Property Owner

ASDA less than a 15 minute drive and Mt. Snowdon within an hour. The house was great although it was cold in the massive master bedroom at night. We would definitely love to stay here again.

  • "Attractive modern property in lovely setting with private garden."

Very well equipped and good quality appliances. We enjoyed our stay. However:- We found lots of dirty marks and greasy fingerprints on patio doors in the lounge and some upstairs in main bedroom, which rather spoiled the overall effect. The underside of the light fitting over the dining table is also dirty. The key safe is very stiff and we found it difficult to close, so possibly needs a bit of attention. There were two towels on two of the beds but not the third, not sure if this is normal procedure or just omitted.

Thank you for your feedback and I am glad you enjoyed your stay. I am sorry there were a few issues however if you had contacted either myself or Skyes Cottages these would have been remedied straight away. Property Owner

  • "We have just had a fantastic week here."

The house is beautiful. Every in it you could need. The layout, decor, just everything was perfect. The welcome tray with biscuits and Welsh cakes and milk in the fridge was a lovely touch. The milk meant we were able to have a cup of tea even though our shopping delivery hadn't arrived yet. Much needed after a 4 hour car journey. We had a 17 month old and 3.5 year old and it was brilliant for them. Only one stair gate, placed at the bottom of the stairs, but it seems to be a thing at all our Wales holiday homes. We used the baby travel cot provided and put it across the top of the stairs/landing, it worked as a perfect stair gate, slotting perfectly in place so it couldn't be pushed down or anything. We brought our own travel cot so didn't need the one provided. The location is brilliant. It's so close to everything we wanted to do, Beaumaris, Penryn Castle, the beach, etc. We cannot recommend enough. Our best holiday yet, and the house did not disappoint. Would definitely look at booking here again through Sykes. Thank you.

Thank you very much for your great feedback and I am glad you enjoyed your stay. Your comments about the stair gate were very useful and I have now arranged for one to be installed at the top of the stairs. Property Owner
