  • "Excellent ground floor property, very clean and tidy with everythng needed."

No noise came through from other flats. Nicely situated for Caernarfon attractions, all within easy walking distance. Ideal also for setting off to places further afield. Road outside not busy or too noisy most of the time. Couple of very minor points whch did not affect my break: The TV refused to come on at first and there were no instructions. The information booklet mentions a Samsung TV but it is a Logik. Problem solved by unplugging and leaving off for a whle. Worked first time when plugged back in and everytime afterwards. Also good wi-fi throughout, good enough to watch football on Laptop in HD. The road was generally quiet but occasionally a car with a loud exhaust would speed past in the early hours. No great problem to me. A kitchen waste caddy was mentioned in the information but I could not find one. Anyyway, apart from such very minor things, I reall enjoyed myself, Thank you very much.

In the kitchen there is no coffee making facility. Only instant coffee making is possible. No teapot.. There is only a watercooker. Policy is that you take all food with you. So you have to throw away olive oil, pasta etc. But it could be usefull for the next visitors. We asked the landlord or manager of the property about the coffee machine , but never got any response.

  • "Nice modern property but a little strange in the layout, particularly the spit kitchen/utility set up."

Couch was ok but too low at the back to sit comfortably and watch TV. Whilst dog being allowed was a welcome draw to the property, it’s not really dog friendly as there’s no real green space handy to take your dog. We ended up walking down to use the grass verges outside the Tescos each night. Garden not at all enticing, and we didn’t bother going up there with the dog. Location to shops, castle, pubs etc was really good however, even if the view of the Texico garage opposite wasn’t.

  • "All as listed, spacious, clean, modern however v sparse."

Location in relation to distance from town is good. Had a power cut evening 1 and thankfully had quick support from the manager, it was an external issue and back on within a few hours. Kitchen would benefit from v small touches, washing up liquid, tea/coffee, salt pepper. The bedroom desperately needs curtains it’s so bright. I don’t think the owners can do much about the constant noise from the road and the flat upstairs but brightness and noise combined left us with 3 nights of v poor sleep. Sofa heavily stained was pleased I read previous reviews and took throws. Pillows need protectors. As it’s dog friendly it really needs a gate at the front door. There are only 3 doors in the property and no windows so if you want to open the ‘window’ it is unsafe for a dog.

  • "Apartment was spacious and clean."

It is in a very good location for visitor attractions in North Wales. The apartment was very cold when we arrived and we had some difficulty in turning the central heating and hot water on. The boiler had been switched off. It would have been beneficial to have had extra blankets to use as the duvet was quite lightweight. Also, the apartment should have mattress and pillow protectors on the bed for hygiene purposes.

  • "The property was perfect for our stay."

The apartment was very well appointed, clean, comfortable and had everything you need for a stay, and perfectly placed for a short walk into town. There was one issue whilst we were there, water coming through the ceiling from one of the upstairs apartments, we reported it and it was resolved within a very short space of time by the local office. I would highly recommend this property to anyone travelling to this area.

Hi William, Thanks for your review & apologies about the above leak & thanks for reporting fast so we could fix, unfortunately a plumber 'fixed' a dodgy bath tap turned the water on and left! Hopefully you'll visit again in the near future! KR EB Property Owner

  • "Brin Min Manton is ideally located to explore the area and very convenient for shops, pubs and restaurants."

It was very clean and tidy and the facilities were great. We had a lovely stay and will be back to the same place when we visit. Just a couple of points that slightly spoiled otherwise excellent accommodation. Please don’t publish the minor negative points. A minor complaint, mainly an age thing, the settee is for slouching on and not ideal for watching the tv as you have no head rest. As I said a minor point. However the towels provided were awful. They were very thin and did not dry properly at all. Of the two tea towels one was thin but did the job and the second had holes in it and burn marks on it. Please don’t read the last as great negative as they weren’t. A great place to stay.

Hi Keith, Thanks for your positive feedback, unfortunately the towels left for your visit weren't the ones i purchased for that apartment. The house keeping company on occasions gets the towels mixed up from other holiday lets but this is something that's been raised and I'll raise again! Thanks for reporting and will be good to see you visiting North Wales again. KR EB Property Owner

Front door lock will not open when it gets hot. We had to ring Sykes but the caretaker already knew that there was a problem. We eventually got in after giving the door a good shake. Shower was very dirty (pictures available) NO CLEANING PRODUCTS AT ALL so we had to buy something to clean the shower - not perfect but at least usable. How can you leave the place clean without any cleaning products? We only had bath towels (not bath sheets) and we only had one hand towel between 2 of us. Only 2 coasters - I am surprised that there are not rings everywhere. We kept moving them round from coffee table to dining table to bedside cabinets. The place could be excellent, but it the attention to details that let it down.

Hi Jean, Thanks for your feedback. I've reported back to the cleaning company, for our records any photos would always be useful and used for lessons learnt process, apologies for this. KR EB Property Owner

  • "We really enjoyed our stay in the apartment."

It was very clean, the bed was huge and very comfortable and the shower was fab. It had everything we needed and was very spacious. Just a couple of things that I think would have improved our holiday. The pillows weren’t very comfy, i usually take my own but forgot. Also, because there are no windows, just 2 patio doors, it got very hot so a couple of fans would have made a difference. Having a gate across the opening to the car park would have been helpful also. We took our dog but couldn’t leave the lounge door open as she could run off. A gate would have allowed the door to stay open solving 2 problems. Apart from that we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend it; it is only a few minutes walk from the lovely town. North Wales is beautiful and everyone was very welcoming.

Hi Jenny, Thanks for your feedback & glad your visit was good. Yes agreed and a gate is something that will be fitted this year. Thanks again. KR EB Property Owner

  • "The apartment was spacious and clean."

The bed comfortable & the shower good. It’s a ten minute walk to the centre and there is a Tesco close by. However it’s the first time I had to buy hand soap & loo roll at a Syke property!! We didn’t really have a rested week as the apartment is on the ground floor by a main road opposite a petrol station. It was noisy plus the flat above us kept us awake so I do suggest sound proofing as well as curtains in the bedroom. Although the shower was good the extractor fan was filthy! I used the Dyson to vac but its filter stank so gave up . The kitchen could do with more mugs plus the worktop was too small to be useful. The sofa had many stains on it and although the flat had a minimalist style it lacked a homely feel. The flat is ideal maybe for a couple of days but we are going home to sleep so won’t be returning here.

Hi Gill, Thanks for your feedback. Apologise about the noise from upstairs the Apartments all have sound proofing to current building regulations, I wasn't going to publicly mention the problems we had during your stay but feel its fair after reading your review, we also received several complaint's about the excessive noise and arguing coming from your apartment which was concerning & disappointing, due to this it was agreed with management we would allow you to continue the holiday but would ban you from future bookings, also the condition the apartment was left was shocking, we had to send maintenance in to clean before the cleaners went in. • "Lovely, spacious apartment, well equipped and the utility room was an added bonus for storage!"

Great location for visiting North Wales and plenty to do in the area. Parking was a little tight when all apartments were occupied, but not an issue, and having the outside space was a bonus when the sun was out! On the downside, the apartment lacked a homely feel as there were none of the finishing touches seen in the photos i.e. scatter cushions, throws and plants - a bit too minimalistic for us! The apartment wasn't quite as clean as we'd have liked, with marks on the sofa and dusty skirting boards. Also if you struggle to sleep with too much light or noise I would recommend to invest in eye masks and ear plugs, due to the light let in by the bedroom blinds and noise from the road and flat above. Some curtains may help? With a few tweaks and a bit more attention to detail, this apartment could really be top notch!

Hi stephanie, Thanks for your feed back and we’ll look into the points raised - the throws and cushions should be there…. also the plants! Hopefully you visit agin in the future KR Eab Property Owner

Also walking distance to local Tesco for supplies & town centre. No hot water on arrival (we arrived late evening). Was eventually sorted out next day but not without me having to chase up Skye on (only) one phone number available. Previous occupiers had switched boiler off as per instructions in flat accommodation. Service man told us to keep it on (??). Spent first one hour and next day 1 hour cleaning (Dyson in flat smelt disgusting when used so had to open up all doors! & stopped using it). On leaving we explained to cleaner, who we met perchance. She knew aoubt Dyson & showed us her own hoover she uses! TV wouldn't work - so rebooted. Remote slow so bought replacement batteries. Clock on kitchen wall stopped so bought new batteries. Extractor fan in shower filthy & hazard - blowing out more bacteria than extracting! Fitted bedsheet too small for bed & kept coming off- so bought new flat bedsheet extra large. No blankets & cold at night so bought some cheap blankets. Sofa was very uncomfortable - lean back to watch super large tv. Couldn't use coffee table to put drinks on, as table top moves(!) leading to potential spills. Kitchen worktop space was very limited. V.difficult to even organise microwave meals. Dinner table was at least functional. No luggage racks & indeed no small tables, sideboards, no shelves in bathroom to put our toiletries & bags etc. Living off floor for a week! Was glad to leave.

Door lock sticking, maintenance fixed whilst in the building. Both door and boiler were reported as common issues. Whilst maintenance were quick and friendly these problems shouldn’t have been there in the first place as checks should have been made especially to areas with ongoing concerns. Holiday purchased as a retirement gift which was a bit of a let down.

Could do with another mug too. Comfy bed and settee. Very spacious and super clean. Close to town and shops. I would have given five stars on all except we could hear very loud footsteps, more like stomping, as people walked about upstairs. Really needs sound proofing. On a busy road but didn’t bother us until ambulance went past and the lights lit up the bedroom and woke us up! But a pair of curtains is an easy fix.

Hi Louise, Thanks for your feed back and glad you enjoyed your stay at the apartment. Sorry to hear about the teaspoons, they seem to keep disappearing from that apartment! we’ll restock on them. Apologies you could hear the guests above you, all apartments are fully sound proof to current building regulations and we also do remind guests to be considerate as there are usually other guests in close proximity. There were a few small issues however they didn’t detract from our enjoyment of staying. Please don’t take this as criticism. The property is obviously new and there will always be teething problems. The shower needs looking at as we could only get it to be either freezing cold or boiling hot. We would have liked a few more towels. Also the 2 blue bath towels were not were absorbent at all.
