  • "We love staying at Moel Tryfan."

It's so well decorated and furnished, spotlessly clean, and the view of the castle is extraordinary! There's a charm about staying in the artisan Cei Llechi area too, especially being above the small museum. One huge plus is that, although Moel Tryfan is an apartment, there are no neighbours adjoining you, so - no noise. The only possible improvements I could suggest are some more cutlery, and personally I don't like tea out of a earthenware mug ( picky!) Thank you. We hope to be back for a third visit. Sheila

  • "Loved our stay, everything was perfect for us, cosy apartment, very clean and so warm we hardly used the heating at all."

The caretaker was brilliant and sorted us out with free parking, showed us around the on-site facilities and even provided use of a hosepipe to wash the dogs legs off after a sandy walk! There is some noise from the nightclub but didn’t disturb us. Loved staying by the castle, easy to get to bars and restaurants. Would definitely stay again!

Caretaker was very helpful sorting out the parking for us, which would have been too expensive otherwise.

  • "Lovely apartment, clean, comfortable and good location."

I would have given it 5 stars but the situation re parking needs urgent addressing so I'm onky giving 3 in the hope it will help get that sorted. When we booked the adjacent pay and display car park (owned by the Harbour Authority, who also own this apartment and the others in the complex) was advertised as costing around £5 or £6 for 24 hours. We have previously used the car park when visiting Caernarvon and budgeted accordingly. However on arrival we found the car park now costs more than triple that expected cost - almost 4 times that actually. Anyone booking until this issue is sorted should bear in mind that to park in the car park daily could add almost £150 to the price of the weeks rental. There are other parking options a reasonably short walk away but we found that quite inconvenient. Really there needs to be a parking permit included in the rental cost - owners should either up the price of rental and include a parking permit or declare this hidden cost. Overall the apartment is lovely but it is very overpriced when you factor in the extortionate parking costs. The Restaurant in the complex, La Marina was really good. We thoroughly enjoyed eating there and definitely recommend. It was very quiet most nights, probably the car park pricing is having an effect there too. The caretaker at the complex was very helpful. Told us all we needed to know, a very nice man. As other reviews have stated there is no information about how to use the appliances in the apartment. We worked it out OK, buy clearly previous residents hadn't as the dishwasher was clogged up having had the detergent tablet forced into the rinse aid compartment so maybe placing some information about how to operate things will help them last longer! Would we return? Yes - if parking issue is addressed, otherwise there are better options that are more luxurious and cost less.

  • "The cottage/apartment was amazing for location."

Bed is super comfy, apartment is spacious, could do with a lovely bath in that bathroom as it’s huge! The caretaker was super helpful and the apartment felt safe with the gates being locked at night. One thing we did notice was another car in the car park had a permit displayed in the car window with a start and end date which I think for the price should be included as part of the stay as the car park adjacent fees had recently gone up in the past 12 days so we were unaware £16 for 18 hrs which is ridiculous when you are there a few nights, we found a car park opposite the train station which was £5 for 24 hrs but would have to replace at 7am each day which is not what you want when on holiday.

  • "Property was as advertised."

Very clean and tidy and well equipped. More usable drawer space in the bedroom would be good but we did manage with the tiny drawers. Personally we found the mattress to be uncomfortable. Parking has changed from the advertised rate of £5.00 a day in the harbour car park but the Warden who was excellent at sorting all our queries out, directed us to another nearby car park a little further away that was £5.00 per day.

  • "We very much enjoyed our stay at Moel Tryfan."

The property was very clean and comfortable and in a great location - perfect for exploring the area. The downside is the cost of parking, which is extremely high. We did eventually find somewhere more reasonably priced, but we would prefer the price of parking to be included in the cost of the holiday and a parking permit provided. Overall, though, a very good experience.

  • "A lovely, well-equipped cottage in a central location."

Great views of the castle and harbour. Parking close to property at approximately £5 per day. Plenty of places to go nearby. We had a very comfortable stay and will return, maybe to a ground floor cottage with less stairs. Only negative is the lack of skylight covering in bedroom.

  • "We loved our stay at this great little apartment!"

So central and convenient. The ONLY reason I gave comfort a lower mark was because the bed was too small compared to what we are used to and because of this and the skylight in the bedroom and the fact that the daylight streamed through at about 5am, neither of us had a decent night’s sleep. Aside from this however, the shower was lovely, and the apartment is very spacious and clean.

  • "Great location, we booked when the price was reduced which was a fair price."

A information folder for the property/appliances etc. would be good, but saying that the maintenance man, (who was a really nice bloke) was around the complex everyday and explained anything we asked, but we felt a book would be an advantage. Would definitely be back when the price is right, GREAT PROPERTY

The flat is well thought out and decorated and the little touches made it feel homey. We had a fab week here and cannot wait to return. Colin, the caretaker, was friendly and very quick with any repairs needed. The only little issues ( and I am digging deep to find fault) there was no blind at the skylight in the bedroom and the sun shining through at 6 in the morning was a bit of a shock! And a small chest of drawers in the bedroom would had been beneficial but we found a way around both
