"The cottage was very comfortable"
-
"This is cottage has everything we needed."
It was clean, comfortable and completely lived up to expectation from the description. The cottage is ideally situated as a base for visiting attractions in north Wales, with so much to do, all within a short drive. We also loved having the use of a garden, which has the sun at all times of the day.
-
"Beautiful cottage in a great location."
Lovely feel to the place, very calming & relaxing, comfortable too. Kitchen & bathroom both great, a shelf in the shower would be good for products. The log fire was a lovely feature, maybe smaller logs. The view in the back garden is stunning, & so peaceful when we stayed. We really enjoyed, & exploring this area of North Wales. Great for couples, small families or group of friends. Would recommend :)

"A lovely cottage in a beautiful part of the UK"
-
"The cottage was very well maintained very comfortable and homely."
We had a relaxing time in Wales but the cottage made the stay enjoyable it's lovely !!!!
-
"Lovely small cottage, well maintained."
A very minor point, not sure if the fan in the bathroom is strong enough as it gets quite steamy and the bathroom does smell musty. Other than that we had a great time. Well placed for many activities, Conway, Llandudno and the great orme, zip world, bodnant gardens and many more.
-
"Lovely cottage, very tastefully decorated."
Great location
-
"It is a very nice warm comfortable cottage, spotless and easy to find and access with handy parking."
The bathroom is quite a long way from the main bedroom but the shower is very good. Dishwasher would be handy and instructions on how to access more than just channel 5 on the tv!!
-
"We loved this little cottage."
Perfect location for us. Very clean and Cosy. Would love to have used the log burner. But no need. Was still so warm while we were there. The low doorways were no problem at all for my 6ft 2 partner. Would highly recommend. And would stay again.
-
"Excellently laud out and decorated to a good standard."
It was perfect in many ways. Location for closeness to many different places in North Wales is perfect. Only downside is lack of amenities within walking distance other than pub.
-
"A lovely, warm, cosy cottage, spotless and very well equipped."
A great location for exploring Snowdonia and Anglesey. We highly recommend this cottage.
-
"Very Happy, loved the cottage."
Clean and well equipped and very homely. Great location too. We would definitely stay here again.
-
"We were looking for a typically Welsh Cottage, and this one had been made more modern since the listing, and so had lost its charm, for us."
The cookware in the kitchen needed updating as well, with scratched and peeling teflon coating. Otherwise it was perfectly adequate.
-
"Da iawn , Excellent, would wish to book again."
Only negative, no parasol for the picnic table, otherwise highly recommended
-
"Everything we needed for a short break was supplied."
Good location.clean and cosy. Didn't expect to get logs supplied fir log burner.
-
"Lovely cottage perfectly positioned for links to major roads for exploring."
-
"We really enjoyed our stay, lovely clean and cosy cottage."
Local attractions all a short drive away. Already recommended to friends and family.
-
"A cosy holiday cottage in Tregarth, close to Bethesda and very central for Snowdonia area, Bangor, Caernarfon and Anglesey."
The cottage is well equipped and furnished tastefully. Very cute! Pub close by, friendly locals.
-
"Lovely cottage, nice & clean."
Had everything you needed.
-
"The cottage was perfect, it felt like a home from home."
Really clean with everything we needed. Location was perfect.
-
"Really lovely little traditional stone and slate cottage."
Nicely converted with a modern interior the accommodation is well equipped, extremely clean and comfortable. The location is ideal for visiting Snowdonia, Anglesey and all the seaside towns of North Wales. There are good shopping and eating facilities within 15 minutes drive. We were four, a couple and two friends one person with walking difficulties and we found the cottage worked well for us. Would happily return and would recommend to others.
-
"Really enjoyed our stay at the cottage, good location with plenty of days out and activities close by."
The cottage was very clean and had good facilities and we spent lots of time outside in the rear sun-trap patio area. The only down side we found was the rear view of the property. This was overwhelmed by a very large orange scissor lift in the area after the garden.
-
"We’ve just got back from the most amazing stay in this lovely little cottage."
It felt like home as soon as we walked through the door. Well equipped, comfortable, spotlessly clean and the perfect location for everything we wanted to do. Would highly recommend this place to anyone wanting to visit north wales. Bangor not far away for supermarkets and shops. Amazing days out; zip world (Velocity 2, deep mine tour, Fforest rollercoaster and bounce below all a must) Llandudno pier, the tram and crazy golf at the top of the orme rock, Anglesey has stunning beaches, walks and views, National trust properties; Penrhyn castle, Bodnant gardens and Plas Newedd are a must. Portmeirion village, The national slate museum and go exploring up in the quarry. On previous visits to north wales we have also visited Caernarfon, Conwy and rode on the Ffestiniog railway. If the pandemic has done anything, it’s highlighted that you can still have an amazing time right here in the UK. We would highly recommend this rental to anyone. Just perfect for us (family of three - should have been four but sadly one member of our family couldn’t come this time) ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

"Lovely cottage in a great location for exploring Snowdonia and Anglesey."
Very clean and tidy, well equipped, peaceful and cosy. The patio to the rear is a great little suntrap to sit with a drink on a sunny afternoon. We enjoyed watching the birds, listening to the owls at night, and stargazing.
-
"Stairs were steep and difficult - no more than you would expect in a property of that age but were difficult for me because I have had my foot pinned so it doesn't bend."
The cottage was very clean and felt welcoming and we had no issues during our stay.
-
"A lovely cottage, well equipped and spotlessly clean, a credit to the owner."
-
"The cottage was very comfortable and everything well thought out."
We enjoyed a log burner of an evening which was a treat for us. Good location for getting out and about in the car. Owner was very helpful. We had a lovely few days.
-
"Absolutely loved every minute will definitely be coming back!"
-
"The Cottage was lovely."
Very comfortable with all the amenities and home comforts to make your stay cosy and relaxed. Thoroughly enjoyed staying. Nice location too. I was working, so not a holiday, but it was nice to come home to every evening, home from home.
-
"I was disappointed to get an email within hours of my arrival asking if I’d enjoyed my stay."
I had to check my booking thinking there was a mistake. Also I was disappointed to find only 1 loo roll for 4 guests for 2 nights, no milk and 6 tea bags and 8 coffee sachets. But my biggest disappointment was a list of demands before leaving. I have ran an Airbnb for 3 years and would never ask my guests to leave the property the way they found it as in cleaning and hoovering etc There was instructions to where the hoover was stored and I was asked to strip the beds clean the property! I would never leave a property in a mess but a list of demands was a step too far for me.
-
"Fantastic holiday cottage in a great location."
Superbly clean and well equipped. We couldn’t have asked for more!
-
"Lovely well equipped cottage which was very comfortable and immaculately clean."
Well placed for exploring North Wales and Anglesey.
-
"This cottage was a perfect location for us as we were doing lots of hiking."
Also a Good pub just down the road. Very clean and comfortable.
-
"We loved the cottage."
Great location, close to so many beautiful places. Cottage is immaculately clean, well equipped (love the sharp knives) and has lots of plug sockets which was handy. Fridge and freezer on the small size, and cottage is missing a fan (as we had particularly good weather so was stuffy in the upstairs bedrooms). We particularly loved the log fire and very sunny garden, great for sun lovers! Only downside was the cottage is not particularly child friendly (we have a 17 month old) with the narrow & steep stairs (giving difficulty in fitting a stair gate provided), and drop off the patio onto slate. All in all we had a perfect break away in a perfect little cottage. Would recommend!
-
"We could not have asked for a better place to stay for exploring Snowdonia."
The cottage is so cosy and perfectly location for the Ogwen Valley and its surrounding mountain ranges, with plenty of shops and restaurants also on your doorstep. Some reviews suggest the cottage has a small fridge and limitations such as lack of cooking equipment/ hair dryer etc- please do not let this put you off, there was absolutely everything you could need (the fridge is just a standard fridge with a freezer box, so more than ample). The shed and hose were also great for storing and cleaning down bikes. We hope to come for another stay here in the future!
-
"The holiday cottage was fantastic."
It was such a lovely little break. The cottage felt modern whilst still keeping its charm. It was clean, cosy and had everything we needed for a little break. The location of the cottage was also fab - so close to everything and the owners were really helpful when we asked for some recommendations for a local takeaway. We would 110% recommend this cottage and can't wait to hopefully one day return.
-
"Beautiful cottage would definitely recommend had everything you needed."
Ideally situated to surrounding places for you to visit..
-
"Lovely cottage."
Great outdoor space. Clean and comfortable. Great shower. Excellent position for exploring Snowdonia and Anglesey. Be aware no freezer - small fridge with only an ice box.
-
"Peaceful location and easy access to attractions, with Zip world just up the road and Lon Las Ogwen ( off road bike or walking route near by)."
Fridge is a bit small, but does the job and stored drinks in the shed Garden has a lovely aspect catching the sun all day long with a picnic really handy. The shed is a a helpful addition to store bikes and other equipment. No shops in walking distance, but lots of other shops in Bangor, Menai Bridge or Bethesda just a short drive or bike ride away. Lovely stay, disn’t Manage to see all the sites, electric mountain, national slate musesum because of covid, so will have to return. Well kept cottage, brilliant shower and with WiFi and smart tele, made the stay more comfortable.
-
"Lovely cottage!"
-
"Beautiful cosy little cottage."
Absolutely immaculate. We spent the weekend here pre-Christmas, just to chill, eat, drink and watch movies infront of the log burner. Did not disappoint. We ventured out to Menai which is one of our favourite areas and had a wonderful coffee and flapjack at Dylan’s overlooking the strait. Thank you for a perfect weekend
-
"A lovely cottage in a good location."
Lots of sights within a few miles even at the time of year that we visited. A friendly local pub in the village and the Vaynol Arms is close by for a meal out.
-
"Everything was lovely, the area is ideal for what we wanted, walking, sightseeing and a peaceful weekend."
The only thing I would add is that more than toilet roll would be good ! But everything else was generously provided.
-
"Had a great weekend at this beautiful cozy cottage."
It’s well maintained and equipped also the location is great for a lot of local attractions.
-
"All good. Would have liked a bath, but understand why there isnt one."
Coffee making equipment completely missing. wonderfully warm and clean
-
"Lovely cottage in a great location"
-
"After reading reviews i packed far too much, toilet roll, kitchen roll, knives, chopping board etc as reviews stated none there."
i packed really warm night ware as someone made me worry about the heating. How wrong reviews can be the cottage had everything we needed and more was lovely and warm and we ended up opening the bedroom windows at night as it was very warm. the cottage was spotless and very comfortable. comfortable beds and a perfect location for exploring. i couldn't have asked for anything better and the owner should be proud. if we come back to Wales we will definitely be booking this cottage or one of the owners other cottages and i have made a note from the book in the cottage which ones he owns.
-
"The cottage was a delight, well maintained and comfortable."
-
"What a beautiful, cosy cottage."
Could fault it, Ideally locates to explore North Wales. A great cottage to come back to at the end of the day and relax in front of the log fire. There is plenty of room for parking, and the shed is secure and ideal for hanging up all your gear to dry and get changed in. Would go back in a heart beat.
-
"A cosy comfortable cottage but lacking a few essentials i."
E. hairdryer, a chopping board for cutting vegetables, meat etc, sharp knives, toilet rolls, kitchen rolls and a small welcome pack would have been nice. The back door lock was extremely difficult to operate and should in our opinion be looked at.
-
"An excellent cottage that felt cosy to return to each day."
-
"It was a pleasure to spend time in such a cosy and atmospheric cottage."
The only problem was with the keys which we had trouble to turn. Also a hairdryer would be welcome. Otherwise the surrounding countryside is stunning and many interesting places to visit are easy to reach. Would love to return one day.
-
"A small, country cottage located very near to a well used road."
good location for Snowdonia and the coast. Generally well equipped. Effective woodburner, plus electric heaters, keep cottage warm but could do with extra bedding in winter. Many cafes etc closed during winter but, more far importantly, no crowds, no queues, no hassle!
-
"Everything was just perfect."
Most beautiful cottage in a quiet location close to lovely walks and towns. We would’t think twice to go back

About the location
TREGARTH
Bangor 5 miles.
Tregarth is a traditional Welsh village, originating from the slate mining industry but now a friendly village with a traditional pub and active village community centre. The old railway tracks for the mines have been closed and converted into cycle paths as part of the 250-mile Lon Las Cymru network from Cardiff to Holyhead, which winds its way through the Nant Francon Pass alongside the Ogwen river to Llyn Owen. Two miles away is Bethesda, a small town on the River Ogwen in North Wales with a number of shops, chapels and pubs. The coastal city of Bangor is six miles away and is best known for its university. Bangor also has a harbour and is close to the Thomas Telford-designed Menai Suspension Bridge which links the mainland to the Isle of Anglesey. South of Tregarth is the Snowdonia National Park with its stunning mountain walks, breathtaking scenery and many towns and villages. Capel Curig is a popular centre for walking, climbing and mountain biking whilst Llanberis is situated at the foot of Mount Snowdon and is home to the Snowdon Mountain Railway, the National Slate Museum and the High Ropes activity centre.
