  • "We have spent a wonderful week at Ty Cerrig."

We have stayed on Anglesey several times and the location is perfect. The house is both spacious and comfortable, and had everything we needed for a week away. I am not sure those views could be improved and the pics do not do it justice, even in early October we sat outside most mornings. We have a 1 year old medium sized dog and the garden was secure enough. The potholes were not an issue but we drove slowly down the drive. These were all repaired halfway into our stay.

  • "We had an amazing 2 week holiday at Ty Cerrig, found it had everything that we needed, especially that amazing view and garden for relaxing in or throwing the ball for our dog."

It is a great base to travel to beautiful beaches and take walks from. The track leading to the cottage was a little rough in places but just take your time, it didn’t cause us any problems. Something worth noting which was a bonus, supermarkets deliver shopping ordered online to the cottage - saves sometime

So quiet and peaceful, everything provided what you could need. The only downside would be not enough comfortable seating if there were more than 4 adults in the group, otherwise would recommend to anyone 5*

  • "The property is a lovely cosy cottage, converted with lots of craftmanship and obvious love."

Located in a lovely setting with beautiful views of Snowdonia from the garden. Garden ideal size for our dog and although not entirely secure, perfectly safe. The lane leading to it is a little tricky with the potholes....just needs careful driving! Cottage has pretty much everything you could need and more. Really well equipped. The only thing we missed was a clock! Beds very comfy and cottage very clean. Slight hiccup when we first arrived but Leone was absolutely brilliant and soon got things sorted....she couldn't have been nicer! Overall, a really lovely place to stay which did not disappoint

We added the extra stair gate to ensure our dog stayed downstairs. We had a very comfortable stay and we enjoyed the fabulous cooker and chilling in the lounge. Loved all of the features. It was warm and comfy.

  • "A beautiful, idilic cottage overlooking fileds and Snowdonia - stunning and we will definitely be back."

The bedrooms are great for 6 people, two doubles and a good twin, the only downside to the cottage is that the living room is slightly tight for 6, and the dining table needs mivubv into space for every meal, but these are small issues if the weather is good and you can sit outside with the views! We will be back (all 6 of us!) Thanks!

  • "After trying to avoid the pot holes down the track to Ty Cerrig!"

!, we arrived in the courtyard to see our home for the week which was bathed in sunshine. On opening the door we were definitely impressed with the cleanliness and the view from the kitchen window was fantastic. Our cockapoo - Bertie couldn't wait to explore the large garden, which he did everyday!! With out hesitation we would recommend this cottage, it is beautiful and it was hard to leave after a lovely week, the lounge was comfortable and the kitchen was also very well stocked, and it had all that we needed. The beds and pillows were very comfortable and we both had lovely nights sleep. We were also lucky with the weather and we were on a beach everyday, had coffee sat outside at some lovely villages, and also sat out at the cottage. The only very small problem was the drive and the pot holes, other than that a beautiful cottage. Thank you Ty Cerrig foor an amazing comfortable week in a beautiful cottage and a great area, we loved it.

  • "Amazing stay, we felt so at home here we didn't want to leave!"

It's pretty much our perfect home. I was worried it would be hard to find based on some reviews but it wasn't at all. Track is an old farm track so yes is little rough but it's what I'd expect for this sort of property so no issues. My car is fairly low and was fine, just need to watch where driving! We took advantage of the breakfast bar in the kitchen for the views out. As it was winter, we didn't get to take advantage of the outside deck or garden much but hopefully we'll be back next year in better weather. House is really well equipped and we got a food order for our first morning booked in with food essentials, it worked perfectly. Delivery driver even offered recommendations for where to eat with our 9 month old! A fab stay, we felt so relaxed and really enjoyed our adventures around Anglesey. We shall be back :-)

We stayed during stormy weather so sadly could not fully enjoy the garden and terrace but everything was there to make our holiday simply perfect. We would love to come back and experience even more of this beautiful home and the island of Anglesey which offers us everything we seek in a family holiday. This place really is superb

  • "A beautiful cottage in a peaceful location."

Well presented with everything you could need for an enjoyable stay. The only concern I found was the number of deep pot-holes along the lane leading to the cottage - not great for a car with low-profile tyres - more suitable for 4x4s or SUVs.

The cottage was very clean, well equipped and located down a quiet lane. The garden is not overlooked and has the most amazing views over fields towards Snowdon and the North Wales range. We were lucky with the weather and enjoyed siting out under the covered veranda each day - the dark night sky was great for star gazing. Great location for exploring other parts of the island. • "Ty Cerrig is a beautiful cottage in a stunning location."

Very clean and comfortable. Perfectly positioned to explore the island. The added little extras were gratefully received. Thank you. A couple of suggestions to improve the experience. 1. Your directions to find the cottage are accurate, however, an indication of the length of the track leading to it would have been appreciated. We were so close, then turned back because the track appeared to lead nowhere. Eventually we found it after a local told us to trust that the track would get us to our destination. It did. Maybe fill some of the potholes, they are real car killers! 2. We cooked our meals in the wonderful kitchen but were surprised to find some basics missing. Condiments , even just salt and pepper would have helped. Also, kitchen roll, we bought some and left it for the next guests. This was so useful when cleaning up at the end of the stay. All in all it was a wonderful stay and I would recommend it. If we return the experience will be even better. Thanks

  • "We loved the cottage."

It was fabulously furnished, beautifully clean and very comfortable for the 2 of us. The views and garden were an absolute delight. This trip, it was just my husband and I that stayed at the cottage and there was plenty of room for us and we loved the breakfast bar, which look directly into the garden. We spent several hours just watching the birdlife in the garden and would recommend taking some binoculars. We would definitely return and would like bring other family members, but felt the cottage would struggle to accommodate 6 comfortably with only 4 seats at the breakfast bar and a separate table and bench in the lounge to seat a further 2 people. Personally, we like to have family meals at the same table, but this is trivial and we'd probably set up a rota to sit at the breakfast bar :) . We had everything we could possibly need and loved the goodies that were provided, thank you. We managed to spend a lovely and unexpected afternoon in the garden, albeit togged up as it was the beginning of March.... We couldn't miss the opportunity, of a sunny afternoon in the wonderful garden with glass of wine. This would be an all round 5 stars for us, but we didn't expect the cottage to be part of small complex of cottages and slightly marked it down for accuracy of listing only, but this truly didn't spoil our experience. Honestly, this cottage is stunning.

About the location

LLANFAIRPWLLGWYNGYLL

Menai Bridge 2 miles; Beaumaris 6 miles.

Affectionately known by the locals as Llanfair PG, the Anglesey village of Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrnd robwllllantysiliogogogoch, also known by its shortened name of Llanfairpwllgwyngyll has the longest place name in Europe. It was artificially named back in 1860 as a publicity stunt for the railway station and translates from Welsh as "St Mary's church in the hollow of the white hazel near to the fierce whirlpool and the church of St Tysilio of the red cave". Situated close to the Menai Straits, just off the Britannia Bridge, Llanfair PG has much to offer families. After having your photo taken next to the village nameplate at the railway station, head into the popular visitors centre for local tourist information. A short walk past the octagonal Toll House, towards Menai Bridge, will bring you to the Marquis of Anglesey statue and column which, for a small fee, you can climb the 115 steps to the top for superb views of the countryside and coastline. Nelson’s Monument can be easily reached on the banks of the Menai Straits, passing St Mary’s Church on the way. With several good pubs with restaurants, craft and gift shops and cafes, plus the beautiful Anglesey coastline within walking distance, there is plenty to entertain you all year round.
