  • "The bungalow was perfect."

Nice bits to make it feel like home from home . Kitchen provided absolutely everything that you could possible need & more. The welcome wine was a lovely gesture . The garden was perfect for the dogs as all enclosed unfortunately we didn’t manage to use hot tub but looked very inviting . Decking just needs some TLC & lighting on fences not working. (Which you wouldn’t have known) Already looking at dates for booking again next year . Thank you very much Deb,Dee & the woofs

Lovely large garden completely enclosed so safe for children and for our dog . Beautiful hot tub . 20 mins walk from the bay and pubs/ restaurant Easy to drive to lots of beautiful beaches and coastline

  • "We found the bungalow extremely well equipped and it would meet most people's needs eg, larged fenced garden abundance of toys and play equipment out and in,although for two elderly pensioners this was not used!"

Having been dog owners until recently this meets people's needs. The only advice would suggest is clearer guidance about the bin system, for our rubbish.

Very comfortable and clean place, super location to get to good local places like South Stack. Only a 10 minute walk to a lovely beach, great for the dog walks, a local shop and a nice pub/restaurant the Sea Shanty. We booked from a recommendation and would stay again.

The bungalow was very clean and well maintained, nice touches, like the garden shed full of everything we needed to either play in the garden or a trip to the beach, which is a 2 minute drive or less than a 10 minute walk. Was lucky enough to meet the owner and his passion and enthusiasm to make everyone’s holiday very special, means this property will only get better and better. Best Sykes property we’ve been to 10/10

Garden is lovely and big, great for entertaining children and also dogs. Hot tub is a real perk too. Inside the property it's a little tired and would benefit from a new kitchen, the cooking facilities weren't very good at all. The bed was uncomfortable, the mattress is very hard, it was difficult to get a good night's sleep. Despite this, we still enjoyed our stay.

Can tell the owner has put a lot of thought and effort into presenting this property. Only reason I’ve not given 5 stars is because there seemed to be dog hairs in every room, but should have read before we arrived that pets were accepted. Overall, this bungalow is a lovely finish and a great base for exploring the island as a couple or small family.

  • "We stayed at this property over Christmas and it was absolutely lovely."

We try and go away for Christmas every year, and always use Sykes. We thought the cottage we stayed in last year would take some beating but this was on par with it. It’s always important to us that wherever we stay is safe and secure for our dog when she’s outside, and this was 100% secure. Another big deal for us is a hot tub, and again, this didn’t disappoint. Perfectly located in the garden so we could see our 2 year old daughter sat in her high chair in the living room watching cartoons and falling to sleep, without constantly getting out to check on her. Everywhere was immaculately clean. Great location, a 5 minute drive from 3 major supermarkets where we got our Christmas food from. 55 minute drive to the Watkin path on Snowdon, so I was happy to do a bit of hiking whilst there too! Couldn’t fault anything at all. We only booked this property 24 hours prior to arriving, so very last minute. The owner had left a Christmas present under the tree for my daughter, so I thought that was a very nice touch considering the time frames. Thanks for a great stay!

  • "Lovely little bungalow in a very quiet neighbourhood."

Having had Trearddur Bay in my life for over 37 years (Dad lives there) I know the area like 'home'. It's a great resort at any time of the year with a fabulous sandy beach, fantastic views and a few good restuarants, all within walking distance. The bungalow itself could do with a kitchen 'upgrade'. The crockery, cutlery and cooking equipment was very good, with everything you could need, but the worktops and cooker etc were a little 'tired'. The furniture was comfortable, as was the bed. Outside was excellent. Huge garden, being a corner plot which is secure for dogs (except gap behind the garage, which our schnauzer sniffed out within 10 mins of arriving). Lots of play equipment for children too. Overlooked by 3 properties behind. The hot tub... reason for booking this actual property... whilst it is very large, perfect temperature... we were absolutely gutted as the lights were broken. We love to use the hot tub around 6pm to enjoy the lights etc. I spoke with the owner who explained the entire hot tub was broken the week before and whilst it was usable for us, the lights had not been repaired. I know this is not a major issue, but for us it certainly spoilt our enjoyment, sitting in the dark!!!! Outside lighting could be improved too as uplighting in the decking is not adequate and is blinding, whilst trying to stumble about putting the hot tub cover back on.

Very clean and tidy it was comfortable as well. Also nice and quiet in the cal de sac where it is situated, nice large garden for dog to run about in. This is the place people should stay at and only ten minutes walk to the beach as well. The owners have done a good job with things in the place. The only criticism i have is that it could do with Sky TV.

Cottage was clean and facilities brilliant. Garden was a big plus, we didn’t realise quite how much space there was when we booked, our daughter loved it. The shed full of outdoor activities was a great touch and is something above and beyond what we’ve experienced elsewhere. One of the main reasons for booking was the hot tub and it didn’t disappoint. We loved going in each evening after a fun filled day down at the beach, which is close enough to walk too. We loved our stay and are already looking to book again next year.

  • "Aurora is a lovely find, clean and comfortable has everything you need, a real home from home."

Lovely and quiet in a residential area with friendly neighbours. The garden is great our daughter who is 7 never came inside when we were at the property and its extremly secure for your dog. The hot tub was very clean, they have lots of outside solar powered lights too looks very pretty in the evening. They have an awesome shed full of games and toys for outside or nets for taking to the beach. You are a 10 minute easy walk to the beach which is dog friendly on half of the beach ( from RNLI to the middle really) early morning you get the beach more or less to yourself if you enjoy a early morning walk or swim. Within 5 minute drive to 3 major supermarkets Aldi, Morrisons and Tesco extra but the village has a Spar too for essentials . You can walk to 3 lovely restaurants Sea Shanty ( which has pay and display next to it for the beach) Seahost and a rather expensive but great for a drink Oceans Edge. If you would like fish and chips takeaway Enochs ( prides itself in using its own blend of sunflower oil) is awesome 10 minute drive and you can order and pay online. For the restaurants I highly recommend pre booking peak season as you will struggle to get a table this can be done online also. We cooked and used the oven a couple of times as my family like my homemade pizza, I'm used to fan assisted ovens so it took me to the 3rd pizza to get my timings right lol. This is a lovely spot we really enjoyed the area butterfly farm is worth a visit and a couple of Nationsl Trust sites were a great find. There is so much to explore Cemaes is lovely with the world's largest parking ticket
