  • "Both double beds would benefit from new quality mattresses."

Both my husband and I were not comfortable on the current ones and had interrupted sleep due to them. Also would benefit from a vacuum cleaner, as sweeping the fine dust, grit and sand from the hard floors, (even though we both took our shoes/boots off at the door), took 3 times as long with a broom and dustpan and brush.

  • "We did write in the guest book within the property and the experience was wholly positive."

The property was deceivingly spacious and we had everything we needed, plus the prosecco and chocolates that awaited us was a lovely touch of kindness. It's a fabulous location and Trearddur Bay is simply delightful. The only disappointment was the quality of the mattress in the bedroom by the bathroom, which my wife and I used. We both woke up with sore backs in the mornings but it didn't overshadow the superb stay we had. Additionally, the parking could be an issue if you had 3 cars for the 6 people the property could hold. The owners should be proud of what they have.

  • "After reading a previous review, I was slightly anxious."

However I found the comments to be exaggerated. The bungalow was clean and comfortable with a well equipped kitchen, and spacious minimalist lounge, both easy to keep clean. The beds were slightly hard, but that’s down to personal preference. The bathroom was scrupulously clean, with plenty of hot water. As an elderly couple, we found the shower very slippery, and I purchased a shower mat before using it. A shelf for toiletries would also reduce be helpful. I must agree that parking was difficult when a neighbour parked on the pavement, however the location was ideal for lovely quiet country walks. The owners were very accommodating, and queries were answered quickly. In summary, a lovely comfortable, quiet property, but I still find the waste disposal process confusing.

  • "We had a great week at Palma."

Lovely and clean. We had an awful experience last year with a nearby property so we were nervous but there was absolutely no issues upon our arrival here. Thank you for the added little touch of the welcome chocolates and prosecco. Our only recommendation would be for a dish drainer to be provided to enable ease when washing up We will be back :)

  • "The one positive is the quiet location and distance to the beach."

After many years using Sykes this is the first negative review we have given. This is based on our dealings with both customer support and also the state of the house and its facilities. On the website it shows a 4 tick rating which is Excellent throughout. after our visit we would say it struggles to reach one star. We have stayed in various cottages over the years and never been disappointed in our stay but this time we were. the drive does not accommodate two cars unless you block the pavement or park partially on the lawn. The kitchen has very few pots and pans ( one pyrex dish,3 cheap pans) so cooking a meal for a family is very hard. Cleaning standard was not great only areas visible were clean, under beds where we put the cases were thick with dust, under the double beds it was the same. There was food behind the microwave ( we sent photos) . Windows were dirty inside and out and the patio doors had dried bird muck across them that had been there for some time. We raised our concerns and to be fair offered a "team to come in and clean" but that meant disrupting a full day of our holiday. Everything was finished off cheaply, pipe trunking down walls and round the property ,pillows and bedding were cheap (mattresses had springs sticking up through) and there were no extra pillows or blankets available. The best way to describe the property is sparse and uninviting, though it has potential. No general information as to bins, what to do when leaving with the bedding, or wifi. There were holes in entrance hall wall, bathroom panel and tv room . The only access to the secure garden was through a twin bedroom which only had small patio doors for ventilation ( which you could only open one side of!!) so night time it wasn't safe to have them open when it got hot . Very odd considering there was an empty annex room off the entrance hall. in its current state its basic 1 and certainly does'nt warrant a 4....

It was lovely and clean through out, plenty of space for us and the dog .House location was brilliant just up the road from the beach .All the facilities in the kitchen were great only little thing I would add is a colander as we had to wash our lettuce with sieve. Thank you Diolch yn fawr The Charlton and Mummery family

  • "Bungalow could be beautiful, all pipes and electrical wiring is exposed and covered in trunking."

Drive difficult to get on and off, especially when cars parked opposite. Mattresses uncomfortable and you could feel the springs digging in at night. Could do with a clothes airer, Tupperware boxes for food stuff. All in all it didn’t detract us from having a good break.

  • "Nice property, great location within walking distance to Trearddur Bay with lovely sandy beach."

There is a large Tesco and Morrisons next to the A55 a short drive away. The house was spotlessly clean with everything inside in good condition. Comfortable lounge with two large sofas and a large TV. Lots to see and do in Anglesey. We had problems with the new boiler during our stay and it took a while to be fixed, partly due to it being a bank holiday and difficulties getting a plumber and heating engineer to visit. I would have confidence that all issues are now completely resolved and there will be no further problems.

  • "Lovely holiday home close to some beautiful beaches."

Chocolates, wine and flowers were welcome gifts from the owners. Very comfortable with everything needed for a self catering holiday (even though we found lots of places to eat out) Only one thing that would have made a difference would have been a blind on the bathroom window as my granddaughter was a bit nervous at night with the light on that somebody could watch from outside.
