  • "LOVELY SPACIOUS PROPERTY WITH HOT TUB AND WIDE BALCONY/TERRACE."

ALSO LAWNWED AREA WITH SWINGS AND SLIDE. HAD A PROBLEM WITH THE HOT WATER BUT QUICKLY SORTED. MY ONE CRITICISM OF THIS PROPERTY WAS NOT ENOUGH LIGHTING IN THE KITCHEN (HAD DIFFICULTY SEEING THE COOKER DIALS ETC.). FRESH EGGS PROVIDED BY THE OWNERS WAS A LOVELY TOUCH. PROPERTY IS JUST A SHORT DRIVE AWAY FROM SHOPS AND OTHER AMENITIES. LOVELY VIEWS OF THE SEA FROM BOTH UPSTAIRS BEDROOMS.

Even fold up chairs would be helpful. Apart from that everything was wonderful.

  • "We’ve just returned from a week with our son and his family in this fabulous cottage and we’ve HAD A BALL!"

The accommodation is spacious and well laid out and our 6 year old grandson had plenty of room to play safely. The chicken house and the grassed play area were a pleasant surprise and the hot tub was the icing on the cake. We couldn’t have asked any more from Lee and Gayle who went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. This cottage is ideally placed for exploring this stunning island and we would highly recommend it to anyone travelling with young children. A HUGE thank you from us all

Thank you so much for your lovely feed back. We are so please that you enjoyed your stay. It was a pleasure to have you stay with us and we hope to see you again! Gayle, Lee & family x Property Owner

  • "Not a pleasant experience I'm afraid."

Involving an insect infestation in the main bedroom, which meant we had to hoover up/squash a ceiling full of insects for the first couple days, the owners didn't offer to clean them up, and a day of no electric during planned work, which the owners didn't inform us of. We were left forced to go out, unable to use any of the facilities we'd paid for. No compensation, no apology nothing. Not recommended, and we won't be returning.

Hello, am really sorry to read your review and would like to take this opportunity to remind you of the events that you have mentioned here.We were informed on the Sunday ( the 3rd day of your stay ) that you had some tiny flies in your room. They were getting in from a small corner under the window. We drove straight to Bangor to buy caulk and waited for you to return from your day out. My husband then sealed the tiny hole and noticed the little dead flies around the window and he asked if you would like him to go for the hoover to clean them up. You said no thank you, it's not a problem we can sort ii and thanked him for fixing the problem so quickly. We couldn't have done anymore in my opinion and we were surprised at the negative feedback and thought that this was a very different version of events. You also mentioned the powercut. Unfortunately as we live in the countryside power cuts are quite regular on the island due to the strong winds. I came over as soon as I realised the power was off and offered you a gas stove so that you could make a cup of tea. Your husband said "dont worry it is no problem we had already planned to go out for the day anyway" In your review you said that you were unable to use the facilities and were forced to go out? This is not what happened. I am sorry if us refusing to give you a refund has caused this to spark the bad review but we felt that non of the issues mentioned here were accurate and wish that you would have spoken to us in person if you were not happy Property Owner

  • "The lounge, twin room and double room and bathrooms were all great, although the lounge is not suitable for six people four at most."

The decor was lovely and it was clean and in good condition. The kitchen had lots of cupboards to store food in for self catering and the fridge freezer was a good size. The bunk room was unusable as neither child was willing to be away from the rest of the family in the separate part of the house. The bunk room itself was also extremely claustrophobic even for children. There was not enough space to have the door fully open. We needed to put one of the mattresses from the bunk room on the floor in the living room. The location of the property is fantastic and the sea views were a bonus. It was just extremely frustrating not being able to have the option to walk out from the property. We had been expecting to walk into Moelfre and to the beach but the bulls in the field prevented this. The property promotional information stated something about being aware of livestock that was misleading. There is a big difference between navigating a field of cows and a field of bulls. Also the instructions from the owners in the welcome information was to avoid walking in the field when the bulls were there. The bulls had 100% access to the field 24/7 even if they moved to the next field the gate was left open and they were free to roam. This meant not knowing if we would be able to get back through even if we could get out. The promotional information should clearly state that the property is not accessible by foot without walking through a field of bulls. It is a great spacious accommodation for a family of four.

Hello Victoria Thank you for your feedback. We are glad that you found our accommodation spacious and clean we do work really hard to make it as welcoming as possible for our guests and have until now only had great reviews so we were very disappointed to hear that you found the bunk room unsuitable for your child. Clear photographs and information do state that the bunk room is small and only suitable for children and other children have found it quite quirky and fun. As regards to the livestock unfortunately we do not own the surrounding fields and the farmer has the rights to swap and change his livestock on a weekly basis. Some days we have sheep and baby lambs some weeks we have cows and yes sometimes young bullocks are in the fields. If the bullocks are in the field at the time of your stay it is recommended that you would park at the bottom of the lane and walk to the beach or in to Moelfre from there. There is free parking at the church which is just at the bottom of the lane giving you the flexibility to walk in to Moelfre if you would have liked although I am sure you would agree this might have been a little far for your children an elderly mother. We pride ourselves on our property and making it as good as it can be for our guests and hope that the next guests will love the property and it’s rural location as much as we do. Property Owner

  • "The Royal Charter Holiday Let has been a great base for our week in Anglesey."

Set back away from the main road but close to several beautiful beaches and a selection of shops and places to eat. We didn't need to travel far to find something to do. If you don't want to go out, the house itself is a nice place to spend time in. We travelled as a family of 5 (2 adults and a child + 2 grandparents). The layout of the house allows everyone to have a bit of space. The outside area on the balcony and the use of the private hottub meant that we could extend the space even further and enjoy the fantastic weather we had! The house was lovely and clean and equipped with everything we needed for a week long holiday. Massive kitchen with loads of storage. Big American style fridge freezer, which is unusual for a holiday let. We normally struggle for fridge/freezer space on holiday. There were a few board games, books and DVDs to choose from. I don't think we turned the TV on once but was good to have as an option. The only thing we could have done with was perhaps a couple of fans for the bedrooms. We did arrive during a heatwave which is unusual for the UK and I didn't actually ask the owners if they had any, so they might have. If not, it might be something they could consider. Our hosts were lovely, really friendly and checked that we had what we needed for our stay. The holiday let is attached to the rear of their own home but it was private enough to relax in. Thanks again, Sarah, Dave and family.

  • "Outstanding location in a beautiful setting the property is located within easy reach of many places to explore within Anglesey."

Although the property is off the beaten track Benlech was just a few miles away with a good range of shops, pubs and eating places. Moelfre is less than a mile away with a great pub. The property was a good layout, nicely furnished to a high standard. The huge balcony was great for eating and sitting outside and taking in views of the countryside and sea. The owners were friendly and approachable and checked in with us to ensure that all was okay - and an icing on the cake was receiving fresh eggs from their own hens .

Beautifully decorated and spotlessy clean. All the rooms were spacious and light. Great outdoor space if you have children as there is small swings and slides. We loved the chickens and Colin the cockerall was a very amusing. We enjoyed our stay is was like home from home. The top decking is perfect to catch the last evening sun and the hot tub was great to relax after all the walking and finding all the beautiful beaches. Lligwy beach was our favourite so clean and quiet and vast but so much to see we will need to come back. The Hosts were so lovely and welcoming I would definitely recommend this beautiful holiday let. 10/10

A home-from-home. Our hosts were very friendly & we enjoyed seeing a Red Squirrel at the bird-feeders. There was a lovely garden with equipment for children to play on & a washing line, which isn’t shown on the brochure. Wonderful to relax in the hot tub at the end of the day & then to sit out on the balcony with some nice food & a glass of vino. Thank you.

We found it to be a really refreshing and relaxing place to stay. We loved the location in the countryside outside Moelfre. The wide variety of birds visiting the feeders outside the kitchen window and the red squirrels in the grounds were the icing on the cake. Our two year old grandson loved the whole experience!
