  • "A lovely cottage."

    Well situated. Very quiet. The Hostess, Jane, made some lovely pastries and cakes, and there was even fresh milk in the fridge. Well situated for many amenities. We plan to go back next year. Would highly recommend.

Y Felinheli 2 miles.

This superb upside down barn conversion beautifully placed in between the village of Y Felinheli and the Snowdonia National Park in North Wales.

With its warming interior and excellent location, it is the perfect bolt hole for a romantic couple’s retreat.

Alternatively, use this as your base for touring Snowdonia.

Hafod's reverse level accommodation means that you enter into its exquisitely decorated king-size bedroom, complete with charming furnishings and a lavish en-suite with a Jacuzzi bath and separate walk-in shower.

Take a walk up the staircase and into the comforting open-plan living area complete with rustic wooden beams.

It comes with two wonderful reclining armchairs set in front of a fabulous multi-fuel stove and a Smart TV to sit and watch with a nice warm drink.

The kitchen area sets you up for your break with all of the equipment that you'll need.

Y Felinheli provides you with a selection of places to eat and buy your groceries, as well as the thrilling Greenwood Forest Park for those of you young at heart.

From here you can explore this fabulous area of North Wales, from the dramatic scenery and activities of the Snowdonia National Park to the charming destinations of Caernarfon and Bangor which make for excellent days out.

Take some time to venture to Anglesey, an unspoilt island with something for everybody, including the medieval town of Beaumaris, the gorgeous coast and attractions like Anglesey Sea Zoo.

Hafod is a warming stone cottage in a terrific North Wales location.

Y Felinheli, formerly know as Port Dinorwic, is situated on the beautiful Menai Strait between the historic town of Caernarfon and the cathedral city of Bangor. Home to a small, established yachting marina with an interesting lock (allowing boats to enter or leave before cruising down the Straits to the open sea), this small village also has a couple of pubs, a restaurant and cafe in the dock area, a shop and Post Office, a beautician, a hairdresser and several great restaurants on the nearby Island of Anglesey. Visitors to this lovely region are spoilt for choice, with stunning Snowdonia, the beautiful Llyn Peninsula, or the sandy beaches of the Isle of Anglesey all within easy reach.
