  • "We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Mynydd Mwyn."

Arfon and Rhian were very welcoming hosts and checked in with us to make sure all was OK. The bungalow is in a great location, with fantastic views. Far enough from the main road that it was very peacefu with lots of wildlife to enjoy, but close enough to be able to explore the places we love to visit. The lane to the house didn't cause us any trouble either. The welcome pack and hot tub were greatly appreciated, and the hosts really had thought of everything that we needed. We have stayed on Anglesey many many times over the past 30 years and we feel this is the best accomodation that we have stayed in. Many thanks for having us, we thoroughly enjoyed our week and hope to return in the future. Best wishes!

Spacious, clean, well equipped, comfortable and quiet but its outstanding feature is the view from the windows. From Conwy Mountain down to the Llyn Peninsula the views are spectacular, taking in all the Snowdonia ( Eryri ) mountains: the ever changing scenery made this an exceptional holiday home for us. Many thanks to Arfon and Rhian for allowing us to stay in their beautiful cottage.

We were welcomed at our holiday cottage with a few essentials to keep us going which was a lovely touch. Our stay was lovely, the weather was mix bag of rain, wind and shine and we enjoyed all of it. The views from the lounge and 1 bedroom were a perfect picture of the ever changing view of Snowdonia, it was truly beautiful. The owners were great when needed and very friendly to deal with. The property itself was immaculate and very very comfortable, it really did feel like a home from home holiday. The island of Anglesey was beautiful and we will definitely return one day. The hot tub was a lovely luxury and we are so grateful that our last night was the best so we could enjoy the hot tub under the dark sky sparkling with stars, it was truly beautiful and a perfect end to an already amazing holiday. I'd highly recommend this property, it's location is perfect for a quite secluded holiday with amazing views.

  • "Mynydd Mwyn is a lovely property in a fabulous location."

Although located in a quiet lane it is only a few minutes from shops and never any more than 20 minutes from some of the wonderful beaches on Anglesey. The garden is a great asset for guests with children. Big enough to burn off excess energy with lots of games………and when the children are asleep it’s time to relax in the hot tub with those wonderful views of Snowdonia. We were even lucky to see the Blue Moon. The property is immaculate, very well equipped and comfortable. I would highly recommend Mynydd Mwyn.

  • "Highly, highly recommended."

Mynydd Mwyn is a beautiful house in a truly stunning location: without doubt, one of the finest holiday homes I've ever had the privilege of staying in. The property itself is faultless: spotlessly clean, well furnished and with everything that a family could need. A bottle of prosecco and Welsh cakes upon arrival were an added thoughtful touch. The grounds are the true star of the show; set in beautiful Welsh countryside with panoramic vistas of Snowdonia and a garden where the family watched owls, kites, rabbits and bats. From mornings with a coffee watching the cloud rise off Snowdon, to evenings watching breathtaking Anglesey sunsets, this is a genuinely special place to spend time. The hot tub was an added bonus; again, spotlessly clean. So often, holiday homes are a base for adventures elsewhere, but Mynydd Mwyn was as much a part of our holiday as all of the other places we enjoyed and we shall treasure the memories that we made here on this holiday.

Decorated really well and literally everything you need and more. The hot tub was perfect, great size and the views were beautiful. We really didn’t want to leave and the kids loved the garden. Felt very safe. We’d come back in a heart beat. My only slight criticism would be, we didn’t like the fact the owner and cleaners were already outside the house about 15 mins before we had to leave. We felt pressured to hurry up. When we were driving out at 10am, we could see one of the cleaners about to get out of the car straight away!! Maybe give people a 15 minute grace to leave please. But otherwise, thank you for the perfect stay :-)

The beautiful property was clean tidy and well looked after and the freshly cut lawn with the spacious garden took it to a new level. The hot tub was a real luxury which was perfect for a windy night's chill! Rhian kindly provided each bed with two sets of towels which really helped out with using the hot tub, the beds were very comfortable which enabled a good night sleep and to wake up with the magnificent view looking out of the window. One slight difficulty was having one bathroom which meant having to stagger coming out of the hot tub. Overall it was a lovely holiday and we really enjoyed our stay.

  • "A fabulous week spent in this lovely bungalow."

We loved the finish and interior, very comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked with kit you need to make a family meal. Our toddler loved exploring the lawned and patio area, and we did a good few laps of the house whilst he explored! Our 7 year old struck up quite a friendship with the cows in the neighbouring field and spent lots of time feeding them grass from our side of the fence! This house was also perfect for my mother who has limited mobility as it’s all on one level. The only feedback would be to secure the blind cords at each window- they’re so tempting to play with from a toddlers perspective and we needed to tuck them up and away safely as they’re not secured to the wall. We’ve already looked to book for next year but the price has gone up quite significantly so we’ll need to think more about it. All in all a wonderful holiday, amazing views from the house and a different beach every day within twenty minutes.

About the location

LLANFAIRPWLLGWYNGYLL

Menai Bridge 2 miles; Beaumaris 6 miles.

Affectionately known by the locals as Llanfair PG, the Anglesey village of Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrnd robwllllantysiliogogogoch, also known by its shortened name of Llanfairpwllgwyngyll has the longest place name in Europe. It was artificially named back in 1860 as a publicity stunt for the railway station and translates from Welsh as "St Mary's church in the hollow of the white hazel near to the fierce whirlpool and the church of St Tysilio of the red cave". Situated close to the Menai Straits, just off the Britannia Bridge, Llanfair PG has much to offer families. After having your photo taken next to the village nameplate at the railway station, head into the popular visitors centre for local tourist information. A short walk past the octagonal Toll House, towards Menai Bridge, will bring you to the Marquis of Anglesey statue and column which, for a small fee, you can climb the 115 steps to the top for superb views of the countryside and coastline. Nelson’s Monument can be easily reached on the banks of the Menai Straits, passing St Mary’s Church on the way. With several good pubs with restaurants, craft and gift shops and cafes, plus the beautiful Anglesey coastline within walking distance, there is plenty to entertain you all year round.
