Our lovely host provided a few essentials, Tea, Coffee, Milk, Sugar and Cake! Lots of logs for the open fire, hot water bottles and fresh flowers which was a lovely touch and gratefully received. Bed Linen and towels provided. It also has Wi-Fi. The house is very clean, situated in a rural location, it is close the Newborough Forest & Beach - which is a must see.

  • "A delightful little cottage."

It has everything you need for your stay. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen well equipped. My friend and I had a fabulous week here made even better by the amazing weather. We were able to visit a different place every day. The cottage is in an Idea position for Newborough beach an Llandwyn island, both a must to visit when on Anglesey. We were well aware of the steep staircase and downstairs bathroom but this wasn't an issue for us. Lovely owners who were easy to contact and sorted an issue out straight away. A place I would definitely stay again.

It was very clean when we arrived however the smell of heating oil was very unpleasant and was throughout the downstairs. Having the bathroom downstairs was really inconvenient ( our fault for thinking it would be ok) especially with the steep staircase. The kitchen is very basic and could do with updating but is well stocked with all you need. The bathroom is in an unexceptably poor condition and was unpleasant to use. The bedrooms however were really nice and the bed very comfy.

  • "We have just got back from a wonderful stay in Dinam Lodge."

It was absolutely perfect and a beautiful cottage in lovely rural location. In fact I loved it so much I could quite happily live there. We were so happy to see coffee and milk in the fridge on our arrival as after 4 hours in the car I was desperate for a coffee. The rooms were all beautiful and clean . The beds were so cosy and comfortable that I had the best nights rest I have had in a long time. I would highly recommend Dinam Lodge to anyone who is looking to relax in the countryside and just take time away from their busy day to day lives. We visit we the local beaches which again were all beautiful. I can definitely say I will be staying in Dinam Lodge again very soon.

The cottage was lovely, clean and comfortable. The owners were a delight and available if we needed anything. Couldn’t have asked for more. The nearby beach at Newborough was amazing. The vintage vehicle museum was a very good find with a great cafe. Thoroughly enjoyed our few days away at this cottage. Would recommend.

  • "The cottage was lovely on the outside and the views were amazing, however when we arrived there were a few ants in the kitchen and the bedrooms were filled with flies."

They were in the beds, on the windowsills and even dead on the floor. Every day we woke up with dead flies in our beds and on the ceiling. Having to hoover every day on a little break away was inconvenient. New windows would probably help as there was mould and draught. The cottage obviously wasn’t hoovered before our arrival as there was about 50 dead flies on the landing. Due to the price of this cottage for such a short stay we would have expected more comfort and cleanliness. Aside from this major inconvenience we had a lovely time exploring Anglesey.

I am sorry to hear about the flies and ants. The cottage was thoroughly cleaned prior to your arrival by our Housekeeper, who is meticulous. She left the property at 2pm having spent two hours hoovering upstairs. When I called in to see you on the Friday morning (after your arrival on Thursday, early evening) to ask if everything was ok for you, both you and the other lady who was with you said "everything was fine". I explained that if you had any problems, or needed anything else you were to just let us know, as we only lived down the drive and would soon pop up. There is a welcome letter with all our details on at the property, but neither of us heard from you. Had you have called we would have been there straight away to sort the problem out. I am very sorry for the inconvenience this caused you. Property Owner

  • "Lovely cottage to stay in."

We did Saturday to Saturday and, as Anglesey is small, found everything we wanted to do only a short drive away. Nice and remote, even though a road runs past it really wasn’t noisy or busy at all. Nice welcome of cake and vase of flowers. I think my favourite was the boiler cupboard next to the bathroom, it has been set up with a washing line and was amazing when I needed to wash and dry my sandy/wet jeans! A brilliant idea! The garden was nice (love trees and the lambs in the field) but didn’t spend much time there as out and about. Smart TV was a godsend in the evenings - slow to change channels and Netflix etc but guessing that is down to internet connection so do bear with it as it does change eventually. Phone signal perfect. Saw some reviews saying the property needed updating, no idea why as we found it lovely and warm, comfortable and perfect for a holiday let. Would highly recommend the cottage. Thank you to the owners for letting the property out

Wildlife in abundance. Pub’s and restaurants with good food not to far away either. Open fire was nice and cosy. One small issue was that the bathroom floor had screws sticking out, which were uncomfortable when they caught your feet. Bird feeders would be a valued addition.

Bigger than it looks. Lots of space and lovely and warm. New utensils in the kitchen and very clean. Close to a road which can be noisy in the morning but very quiet in the evening/night. Can hear the owls in the trees and foxes in the fields. Lots of different birds around. We added some seeds and fat balls to the garden which attracted the woodpecker and smaller birds down into the garden. Great location close to the beach and RSPB sites. Plus only 1/2 hour drive to Holyhead/South Stack lighthouse and Beaumaris. No access to fields or farmland around the cottage but lovely walks in Newborough.

  • "Perfect location and beautiful views."

Everywhere we wanted to visit was a relatively short journey by car. Bedrooms were lovely with clean bedding and lots of storage. We were a bit disappointed with the kitchen and bathroom both dated and a bit uninviting. This would probably stop us staying here again as it's nice to have a bit of luxury on holiday. Some really nice touches like beach buckets and spades left for use, and a lovely vase of fresh flowers. Needs better mirrors in bedrooms and bathroom (a full length mirror somewhere would be great), bigger bath towels and a bit of an update and would be an ideal property for us!

  • "The only bathroom is down steep stairs a long walk from the bedrooms."

this is unsuitable for older people and should be pointed out in the property description. The only mirror in the bathroom was a very small shaving mirror and the bedroom mirrors were not much bigger. We were also very surprised by the noise from the traffic on the adjacent road. Cleanliness - badly stained mattress cover, only two pillows had pillow protectors, cutlery and some crockery needed washing on arrival. Whilst we appreciate this property is competitively priced the lack of overall cleanliness was disappointing and not up to the usual standard we have come to expect from Menai Holidays.

  • "Hi, Property lovely just no sun in garden due to high overhanging trees."

Property very rural which was no issue to us but if you had no car would be a problem. The main issue we had was there were no smoke or carbonmonoxide detectors which was a real concern as thought all rented proprerty needed these legally. No iron or ironing board or hairdryer of which i would have expected in a self catering property. Did not realise toilet bathroom downstairs which we were not aware.

Thank you for your feedback. Smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors have now been fitted at the property. We have also added an iron and ironing board along with a hairdryer. The trees will be trimmed back once there is a gap in the bookings. We hope you visit again soon. Property Owner
