Very friendly hosts. Good size garden for our dogs to roam around and very close to several dog friendly beaches. We were fortunate enough to have fantastic weather but there are lots of things to do in the cottage if the weather isn't so good, books, games etc. Thank you Hew and Tracey.

  • "We have just spent a week at Ty Gwenyn and loved it."

Cottage very spacious and comfortable. It was so peaceful as well and the only thing I could hear when sat in the garden was the birds. Cottage well equipped with everything you need. Owners Huw and Tracey very helpful but do give you privacy. We loved the village as it was only just down the road from the gorgeous beach at Church Bay. People swimming in the sea and a few sat on the beach but plenty of space. We loved it so much we will be back next year.

  • "This was our second stay at Huw and Tracey's charming cottage."

We had a lovely week enjoying the tranquility and visiting local beaches with our dog. The cottage is well equipped and is lovely either as a base for days out, or for cosy games days in. There is a large garden, which our dog loved, with an outside seating area. The garden has a little stream running behind, which sounds wonderful. Our hosts left us some lovely goodies as a welcome, which was greatly appreciated. They were very attentive and when we had a problem with the shower mid week, Huw fixed this very promptly. I highly recommend this hidden gem in the beautiful Angelsey countryside.

  • "Tracey and Huw are really lovely owners and it was great to meet them."

They live on site but are very unobtrusive. The cottage is immaculately clean and extremely well equipped; although we took tea towels and washing up things etc with us it was unnecessary as Ty Gwenyn had everything we needed. Toys, games and beach equipment were also available - very thoughtful. The only slight drawback was only having one toilet- but then we did have three grandchildren under 6 with us. It’s not helpful when one urgently needs the toilet and someone is already using it! But I’m sure it’s not usually a problem. Sadly this was only a very short break - longer would have been better. Also I must say that this cottage was very near what turned out to be our favourite spot - Church Bay. Beautiful!

It was so peaceful and just perfect for us to escape from our stressful lives. I wish we could have stayed for longer! If I was to be very picky, I would say that the bath could have been a bit bigger but everything was very clean and that is very important to us. Thank you!

  • "This is a lovely cottage."

It is well situated for country walks and beaches. The owners are next door and couldn't be more helpful. The cottage is well equipped, so we were able to fully self cater, which we needed with our dog. There was milk, tea, coffee, Welshcakes and jam provided by the owners, which was really kind. There were also dishwasher tablets, bin bags etc which are often not provided. They have a lovely big garden, which was great for our dog. Although worth noting that it's not fully enclosed, so wayward dogs would need to be on a lead. It's only a small thing, and the description probably covered that. There was also outside seating, which was fab. There are local coastal walks and it's well situated for exploring the island. We really enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this cottage.

We booked at extremely short notice and despite the owners having only about an hour to prepare the cottage for our arrival, we found it to be immaculate. The cottage was very comfortable, well decorated and very well presented. Everything you could need was present and there were some really nice touches such as some fresh milk, welsh cakes and treats for the dog. The owners, who live in a neighboring property gave us a very warm welcome and were extremely friendly whilst remaining unobtrusive. Would recommend and will not hesitate to return.

Lovely quiet location and a total switch off. Cottage was perfect for us as we have a disabled daughter so having the downstairs bedroom and bathroom was a positive for us. Would love to visit again to explore the area a little more.
