  • "Just got back from 2 weeks holiday, we absolutely loved Crows Nest."

Difficult to try and fit it all in:- so much living space fab conservatory opening out onto great decking from which we often had red squirrel visit, saw close up great spotted woodpecker and nightly visits from an owl. By the torch light we were delighted to watch this huge brown owl sat watching us AMAZING! Heavy rain couple of nights we moved into cosy living room. Adrian and Linda lived next door and were on hand for any queries and advice where to visit. We received the best welcome gifts ever Wine chocolates and flowers with fresh flowers on 2 week. Benllech beach is 5 minute drive which we did each morning for daily dog walk. Our Jack Russell loved the outside space which had so many different areas and he had no problems at all with their cat or the cat with him! We loved nautical ⚓ theme with so much to look at we were still spotting something new a week into our hols. Comfy beds, great shower, good parking, central location to getting around the island Super holiday. We will definitely go back and would recommend. Thank you Adrian and Linda from Wayne Sue and Digger

Sue, Thanks for your kind words and it was a joy to have you both here for the fortnight and I enjoyed our chats. You left the Crowsnest so neat and tidy so thanks a lot, I hope you both come back and I look forward to seeing you again next year. I`ve seen the owl and he is massive and Cyril the squirrel is still dancing his way past the cottage! I hope you both keep well. Property Owner

  • "A very pleasant welcome and inviting property off the beaten track as described."

Unfortunately there was a few issues as previously stated in feedback comments worst being the beds, They are tired and uncomfortable with worn out pillows and torn bedsheets unfortunately making the two nights uncomfortable for us. Also agree with previous comments the place needing a good clean. There is no outside garden area for dogs as there was a cat on site so dog leads only. Having said that with updated beds and a deep clean it would have been lovely.

Apologies re. the fitted sheets and eiderdowns but the person who normally does them was away on a well deserved weeks holiday of her own so I made the beds up whereas I normally deal with maintenance and DIY [I have just painted the cottage which shows we care].I did at least manage to meet you at a pub car park when you had got lost and at least your lovely little girl enjoyed the rockery and Fairy Glen - another reason why dogs should be on a lead as a loose dog could ruin all of Linda`s hard work with the rockery figurines. The cat is not called Daisy Villanell for nothing as she killed a large stoat last year and can look after herself! I was surprised that you thought the cottage needed a better clean as the cleaner spends 2 hours working hard and according to so many others, does a good job. Thank you for leaving the cottage spotless [your mum was marvellous] and we hope you enjoyed the chocolates and flowers.I also hope little Mary enjoyed the beach at Benllech . Property Owner

The kitchen area was well equipped with all that might be needed. The owner was very helpful and happy to suggest places to visit and eat nearby and further afield. There were also leaflets in the cottage to suggest places to visit. It was very conveniently situated for exploring all the sights of Anglesey, and near to Llangefni and Benllech for shopping for essentials. As we had our dog with us we were pleased that there were many pathways and quiet lanes to explore from the cottage.

The gardens are magnificent and there are stunning views all round, particularly from the large veranda. It is definitely a place where you feel you are off the beaten track, yet a nice beach and shopping and dining are all within a few miles of the cottage. A nice step back in time with charming hosts in Adrian and Linda.

  • "The property was poorly cleaned ; cobwebs everywhere and clearly some areas had not been touched , including the inside of kitchen cupboards."

We had a power cut which was island wide but no candles or torches were provided in an emergency situation. Cottage was charming and spacious but no Usable Wi Fi despite having been told that it was available.

Hi, Clive, Thank you for your feedback. I`m very sorry you didn`t feel satisfied with the cleanleness of the property, our cleaner is exceptionally thorough and we`ve never received any negative feedback about this before. As discussed on your arrival, it`s always difficult to guarantee wi fi speeds in rural areas, it`s possible the inclement weather caused some interference during your stay and you`de have to know how to download the password. Although power cuts are extremely rare, I can appreciate the inconvenience this may have caused, fortunately this occured during the daytime and we were pleased to be able to provide you with regular updates regarding the situation which lasted short of a few hours and you were able to go out.We have noted your comment regarding a lack of torches in the cottage and these have already have been replaced, small items such as these tend to go missing because guests walk their dogs at night I should also note that we do not store candles in the cottage as they are a potential f ire risk. We`re sorry you left early because of the bad weather but the sun did come out as soon as you`de gone and the rest of the week`s weather was greatly improved.. We do hope you enjoyed the chocolates and flowers we left for you . Once again, thank you for you taking the time to leave feedback. Property Owner

Have us lots of information of the local area and beyond and left flowers and chocolates on our arrival. Cottage lovely and clean as we're the bedding and towels. Conservatory and decking area is fabulous with great views. We had the squirrel visiting daily and was fortunate to see 2 on our last day. The only thing to be aware of is the step leading into the bathroom but we overcame this by plugging in a night light in the lounge for overnight. The couple of gates in the cottage were great as it kept our 2 dogs Biscuit and Bailey from entering the bedrooms. Loved our holiday so much that we've booked again to return in September. The cottage on the surface was ok but on closer inspection needs a good clean, for example behind headboards, sinks etc and dried food on dishes and plates from previous occupants. Owners were very helpful and friendly, location a little remote but access to all local amenities and attractions/beaches etc wasn't to far. All in all a good week but the internet coverage or lack of it would put us off a repeat visit.

Thank you very much for leaving your feedback, with regards to Wi-Fi we do not advertise it for this reason, unfortunately due to us being remote it is quite hard to get a good signal, however we are attempting to upgrade to full fibre. Sorry about the cleanliness issues, this must have been an oversight from the cleaners which are usually very good, we hope you enjoyed your bottle of prosecco and chocolates we left and our recent upgrades to our home with the new decking area and the Mediterranean rockery. Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback for your stay. We are very sorry to hear that you did not like the interior of our property, we spent a lot of time during lockdown 're-vamping' the cottage but do try and stick to the cottages authentic 18th century roots in regards to decor.
