  • "Property was in a lovely position and very clean."

We did find the bed very uncomfortable and as I have Rheumatoid Arthritis this was a problem. It may be because most of the cottages we rent no longer have a divan with a sprung mattress but wooden frames and deep mattresses. Every time one of us moved the other felt it and that spoilt our sleep. We could not open a window in either the lounge or bedroom as they had been painted over and so it was very stuffy especially at night. The kitchen cupboards were also an issue for someone who is only five feet. My six foot six husband had to open them every time I needed something as the handles were too high and they were too stiff. Overall it was a good property and I would recommend it but we are back to our Devon barn conversion next year as it is much more suitable for me.

Thank you so much for your feedback Susan and we can only apologise that your stay was not as enjoyable as your past holidays. I hope we can address some of the issues you had as nothing was mentioned during your stay which we might have been able to rectify.. The mattresses we choose are a medium firmness as it tends to be an 'all rounder' and suits the majority of guests with a divan base as we have seen reviews with wooden/metal beds where the slats are frequently broken, something that we would rather avoid. Most of the kitchen units are original 19th Century pitch pine which we have not moved and its a feature that all our guests have loved as we have ensured the property remains as original as possible. I am 5'4'' and have had no issues with reaching and replacing crockery. A cooling fan could have been brought to you had you got in touch regarding feeling hot in the lounge and bedroom, as the weather was very cool its not something we had considered offering beforehand. We hope that we are clear and transparent in our description of the property and it was clearly unsuitable for your health condition or stature from your review. However, it is great to hear that you have found your perfect place for future holidays which suit your specific needs. Property Owner

  • "Absolutely wonderful apartment set in a beautiful location."

Overlooking the cricket club but still very private. The apartment is tastefully decorated and very spacious. The facilities are modern and bedrooms very comfortable and clean. We will be returning soon. Also worth mentioning the location is fantastic and lots of lovely places to visit within 15 minutes in a car. Also close walk into Menai Bridge for lots of lovely shops, restaurants and attractions. Wonderful hosts, thank you.

  • "A fabulously spacious apartment in a peaceful setting a short walk from the heart of Menai Bridge."

This really is the perfect base from which to explore North Wales with its castles, gardens, mountains and spectacular coastline. The apartment is very well presented, full of well proportioned rooms and well kitted out. It also has private offroad parking. Menai Bridge itself is a delight with some quirky shops and lovely restaurants, as well as the amazing views along the Menai Strait.

Thank you for the lovely review and its great to hear that our guests had an amaziing stay with us. Property Owner

  • "We really enjoyed our stay at Ty y Caeau Apartment."

Very spacious, comfortable bed and wonderful views from the windows. Added bonus of being able to watch the cricket matches being played on the ground below the property from the garden. Menai Bridge with plenty of places to eat within walking distance, and a Waitrose five minutes drive away. Perfect place to stay.

  • "The property has a very good location, very quite and peaceful, but still close to shops and pubs."

The only problem I had with the property was the bath and the shower room had no place to keep the clothes or the towels. Even the wash basin had no towel rack next to it. A small bin in the bedroom next to the dresser is always handy. This property has no washing machine.

Thank you for the feedback. We have a freestanding towel rail in the bathroom for our guests which has previously proved adequate. We have noted on the booking details that there is no washing machine something again that guests are aware of before booking with us.Due to the original kitchen layout we decided that most of our guests would appreciate a dishwasher for daily use instead of a washing machine. So glad you otherwise enjoyed your stay.Hope to see you again in the future. The pictures do not do this place justice at all! Lovely rooms, high ceilings and totally immaculate. The surroundings are great and the fact you can see sheep nearby and rabbits roaming made it so special for our children. There is a garden area to sit outside and watch the rabbits etc and a patio too. Everything is thought of in regards to what is available (kitchen etc) and the shower was fab! Lovely gesture of milk and lovely Welsh cakes when we arrived
