  • "A lovely positioned cottage, close to amenities yet in a lovely secluded setting."

The downstairs was very spacious, although storage in the bedroom could have been better. But overall a lovely place to stay.

It is excellently situated, with local shops and restaurants a short walk away, yet situated in a tranquil garden away from the roads. It was a very pleasant and comfortable base for exploring Ynys Môn and the north-western parts of Eryri.

  • "This is a lovely setting with plenty to do in the surrounding areas , the owners are a lovely couple and provided us with an amazing welcome pack."

The accommodation on entry had a damp smell which was all through the property, there were spiders in all rooms hanging in the corners of the ceilings, at bed time I had to collect 5 spiders to throw out before we could go to sleep, unfortunately we cut our holiday short by 1 day because of this, In spite of this we had a nice time in anglesey. As a retired builder I noticed that the shower is not sealed very well and there is damp rising up the wall in the hallway adjacent this is possibly the reason for the damp smells.

Dear Marie and Michael Thank you for your feedback. We are disappointed that you did not take the opportunity to walk up to our house to report what you had found. My husband always urges new guests to report any issues that arise during their stay. Regarding the shower that was installed last year, we would have welcomed Michael’s advice as a retired builder. We will now contact a builder to check where water might be leaking. Thank you for your valuable feedback. However, the image you portray of every room harboring cobwebs and spiders baffles us. Professional cleaners go through the cottage thoroughly just hours before the arrival of new guests and my husband does a check after this. The guests who departed on the day of your arrival called by to say farewell and declared that it had been the cleanest holiday cottage they had ever stayed in! The cleaning company may well contact you directly. My husband does find the occasional ‘daddy-longlegs’ and puts them out of a window. Perhaps they crawled back out of the rain and cold? The cottage was exceptionally clean with comfortable beds & a well equipped kitchen. The setting is unique, a feeling of being in the countryside but with all the amenities of the town. If you are nature lover you will not be disappointed with red squirrels & a variety of birdlife to entertain you in the secluded garden.

Quiet and peaceful location, within a short walk of the town. Lovely cottage, spacious with a large garden. Extremely comfortable double bed, the dining room is really bright and open but the couch in the lounge is quite hard. My main criticism is the shower room which needs updating and a decent shower put in.

The cottage is warm and cosy and had everything we needed. It was wonderful to see the red squirrels and a variety of birds in the garden. Ideally situated for exploring the island and the mainland. Short walk to the town and several pubs and restaurants. Would happily stay again. The only negative was the limited hanging and drawer space for clothes but this didn't really hamper us.

Set along its own lane to the right of the owners house is the cottage. Steeped in history Ron advised us that the conversion was originally where the coach would have been housed. Surrounded by lawns and trees we were lucky enough to see the red squirrels. The welcome pack Ron and Angela left for us was beautiful and included cake, orange juice and milk . The cottage was near to pubs and restaurants and we highly recommend the Indian restaurant Perfect holiday thank you Ron and Angela

  • "Lleyn Cottage is a lovely looking cottage in a great location, close to shops, restaurants, takeaways and pubs."

Unfortunately it is dated inside and has a terrible musty smell that hits you when you open the front door, it also lingers in your clothing. We found the 2 settees in the lounge to be extremely uncomfortable, 1 very low the other quite narrow. However there is another in the dining room which is comfortable. The bathroom is compacted and the shower pressure is very weak. The kitchen is well equipped and has everything you need for a self catering holiday. We received a lovely welcome pack on arrival. The owner Ron is very friendly and helpful. The cottage is located in the grounds of the owners own home.

Shelley We are sorry the cottage did not meet your and Allan’s expectations. The musky smell you describe was not experienced by this week’s guests (and has never been mentioned by any previous guest) - but thank you for alerting us to the fact it can occur. Perhaps you could have mentioned this during one of our chats? This would have helped me to discover how it could have been generated. Ron Property Owner
