  • "We loved the house, it was very comfortable and spacious."

We had a really good time walking, swimming and generally exploring Menai Bridge & Anglesey. One suggestion would to be for there to be a boot rack and more coat pegs to help with storage of gear. We hope to visit again - thank you Best wishes

  • "House is in a lovely position, right next to the river and surrounded by trees, very quiet and peaceful."

The interior is really nice, with a well equipped kitchen and comfy bedrooms. We had to call the housekeeper on the second night as the cooker tripped a fuse, she was there within 15 minutes and fixed the issue straight away. The outside has plenty of seating to enjoy and even a secret grotto where we drank hot chocolate in the evening.

  • "Fabulous property, great location and everything we could have asked for."

Everyone liked it. It was spacious enough for all of us. Loved the big kitchen. I would look to rebook when we all want to get together again. Not many properties on Anglesey are big enough for 7 adults with comfort. Haven’t used Sykes before but certainly would going forward.

  • "What an amazing property!"

Plenty of room for all of us, six adults and two grandchildren. We were impressed by the quality of the house contents, furnishings, crockery, cooking equipment, etc. and loved watching the Ducks, Swans and Cygnets come and go with the tide! Menai Bridge is a lovely place too. A couple of minor niggles, the push plug in the ensuite didn't work neither did the electric light in the mirror and the kitchen floor was sticky underfoot from the outset. Maybe the cleaning product? None of the above spoilt our holiday and we would go back to the property again

the house had everything we could have asked for, but could not for the life of us find the washer and drier so potentially make the directions to that a little clearer :) thank you so much for the holiday overall it was lovely

We are so pleased you all had a great holiday. The washer and drier is on ground floor next to log store/boat store. There is a padlock on the door to unlock. Property Owner

The location was perfect for exploring the surrounding area we are big fans of angelsey and enjoyed every second. The house was a generous size and our little boy very much enjoyed the large downstairs space for all his games and running around. Everyone in the family agreed we would definitely come again.

  • "Beautiful home and great to be able to meet up with family."

Wonderfully comfortable and views to remember for ever! My only difficulty - and it's a very personal one- being disabled I found the lack of fixed bannister with only a rope and wobly bottom post upsetting for me all weekend as I required help each time I needed to access the bathroom upstairs ! - I wish this was highlighted in the description so nobody else has a shock on arrival!

Thank you for bringing this to our attention and we are pleased that you liked the rest of the property. Property Owner

  • "Wonderful house, so perfectly situated."

We had a fabulous week away in an idyllic spot. When all you can hear is trickling water, pipping ducklings and squawking jays as you sit in the little suntrap of a terrace eating breakfast, I'd say life was pretty good.

Great outdoor deck space too - although the weather meant we didn’t make a lot of use of it - and lots of bird life for the children to watch along the creek. We were lucky to be able to book it for a short mid-week trip at rather short notice and we would certainly aim to return for a longer stay.

Lovely, comfortable home with everything you could need, spotless bedding and towels although we did find 13.5 tog duvets far too warm for June but that's our personal opinion and we just took them out. After staying at Melin y Coed would anywhere else match it?, we would love to return and thank you so much to the owners for having us! Apart from the holiday I would like to say a big thank you to all the girls I have dealt with from Menai in Brynsiencyn who have been so helpful over the past two years, wonderful customer service.

It enjoys stunning waterside views.

If you can bear to close the curtains in the evening you can relax in front of a warm fire, far from the busy outside world!

The kitchen/dining area is a generous size and very well appointed, with everything you would expect of a quality hand-made kitchen.

There is a dishwasher, Belfast sink, granite worktops, Travertine floors, a fridge/freezer and a range cooker. A separate sitting room provides comfortable seating for everyone.

There is a large sofa and a woodburner for those wintry nights when all you want to do is relax in front of a warm fire.

You may never need to use the flat screen TV, with the joys of nature's own show right outside your house! Upstairs are three double rooms and one single room.

A lot of care and attention has been devoted to the décor of these beautiful rooms. The master bedroom has an en suite with shower, basin and WC.

The other bedrooms are all serviced by a large family bathroom with walk-in shower and separate bath. The kitchen opens out onto a decked area at the side of the house and offers a super setting for outdoor dining.

There is also a garden with a balcony, where you can sit and enjoy the wildlife and the peaceful riverside location.

A private jetty protrudes from the bank and is great for fishing and boating. This lavish and beautifully decorated house has been modernised to the highest standard.

The high-quality furnishings have been carefully chosen, while the hand-made kitchen forms the delightful hub of the house. A cosy and sociable holiday house, Melin y Coed is on the outskirts of the bustling coastal town of Menai Bridge on Anglesey.

It makes a stunning holiday home both in summer and winter.
