  • "Lovely property in a beautiful location."

The beds were really comfortable too. However, we greatly missed a washing machine and somewhere to hang wet clothes to dry after the beach. The kitchen wasn't very well equipped, only one sharp knife for cooking.

  • "The good things - the house was large and roomy and comfortable."

The views and location stunning. However we thought the house could be amazing and 5 star with some improvements. A washing machine definitely, more kitchen equipment eg chopping knives, more big pans, serving spoons for example. We also could have done with place mats and coasters to protect the tables. Decor a bit tired. Easy things to fix to make the house truly 5 star.

  • "The house was beautiful and in such a lovely spot, the views are amazing."

We really enjoyed our holiday with our family. The house could benefit from a few items:- bins in the bathroom, the only bin was in the kitchen! It would also benefit from a clothes maiden or a dryer as there was nowhere to dry towels, 6 adults and 4 children, there was a lot of towels. A washing machine was nowhere to be seen despite an email from you telling me there was one !! The bathroom door handle was broken on our arrival and it took 6 days for someone to come and fix it, despite me reporting it on the first day. Apart from those few niggles, it was all lovely and I wouldn’t hesitate to book it again.

  • "Absolutely amazing property& beautiful location."

Would have scored a 5* the only things that needs improvement would be some maintenance on the house itself and I would say a washing machine is a necessity other than that could not fault a thing- amazing little beach on the island and lovely garden space for everyone to enjoy & very close to the town! Would definitely recommend and return!

  • "We all enjoyed our week long break taking in the wonderful Sea views and the stunning Menai Bridge."

We did not venture out very far as we enjoyed the comfortable cottage and local walks. Met a lovely local lady, who shared her knowledge with us about the Swans and can recommend a visit to Evans Hardware shop, friendly and very helpful owners. A wonderful small town with friendly people.

  • "The cottage was lovely, Contemporary and stylish, every room was charming."

The views were incredible and the house is in a wonderful position, it added to a sense of adventure having to reach the house across a causeway! It would benefit from a welcome file, showing how to use the heating, oven and what to do with the household waste and recycling plus recommendations of local pubs/restaurants and things to do in the area. There was a log burner, which added cosiness, but the house was cold and the heating (under floor) was difficult to operate. Thankfully, we we’re supplied with plug in heaters after we contacted Sykes. If you have young children, you need to bring high chair and travel cot as these are not supplied. Overall we had a great weekend and would book the cottage again.

  • "The location of the cottage was fantastic, the views were brilliant!"

Great location, Menai a lovely place to walk around. Perfect view from the cottage of the local fireworks display! Great dining room table to all sit around together with the view. Quirky that you walk across the walkway to get to the cottage. There were a few things that could be improved. Check in was 4pm, we didn't actually arrive until 5pm, there were no keys in the lockbox....then the cleaners suddenly appeared with the keys. I think they were still in the house when we arrived. It would be nice to have a welcome booklet with information about the house. We struggled to get the heating working so it was cold. There were logs for the fire but no matches so that involved a trip to the shop to then be able to get warm. We ended up moving furniture through into the room with the fire so we could all be warm. Particularly in the winter some coat hooks and somewhere to sit to pop your shoes on would be good. We presumed there would be a hairdryer but there isn't, remember to take your own. Some of the bedsheets had drops of blood on them, as if someone had cut there finger and carried on making it. We had to remove all the glasses and mugs from the cupboard as the shelves were wet, they hadn't been dried before putting them away.

  • "Beautiful property, very private and quiet."

Well maintained with beautiful views. Very comfy beds. Perfect in every way. Absolutely everything needed was provided including kitchen roll, cling film, dishwasher tabs, bin bags etc. Could not fault it.

  • "Stunning location really enjoyed the stay."

A great house. We found the 10am exit difficult especially as we had 2 young children. Also if there was a travel cot and high chair would have made it easier. And maybe a book with details about WiFi password. Recycling, etc. Would definitely book again.

  • "Amazing property."

Had a great time. Fantastic views and a very relaxing place to stay. Just struggled to get out for 10am. To do the dishwasher and tidy up and leave the house as we found it, think 10am is too early. We didn't have time for a relaxing last morning breakfast. It was all a bit rushed. However I definitely recommend staying here.
