    Very spacious, comfortable living accommodation with great views of the Menai Straits. Very well equipped newly refurbished kitchen. Great location.

    Just one suggestion, the Wi-Fi signal does not extend to the bedrooms. Installation of a WiFi booster to overcome this, would be an advantage.

    Thank-you for your review and sorry you had an issue with wi-fi signal in the bedrooms. There is actually a wi-fi booster in one of the bedrooms, but will investigate to check working OK. Property Owner

    There were 4 adults in our group, three generations, the cottage would have easily accommodated six people. The beach, is on the doorstep and great for morning or early evening strolls. The area is quiet but within walking distance of some great places to visit including the farm, aquarium and sea salt museum and factory. All places have somewhere to eat lovely food and beverages. Loads to do and see in and around Anglesey all accessible by car. Thank you for an amazing stay.

    Very well equipped cottage, although a dishwasher would have been appreciated, rather than a washing machine!

    Thank-you for the positive feedback. Regulars and future guests alike will be pleased to hear that we've carried out a full refurbishment of the kitchen and dining area over winter so the cottage now has a completely new kitchen (including a dishwasher) and larger dining space as well as laundry area with washing machine and tumble dryer. • "A beautiful cottage in a wonderful position, peaceful and relaxing with plenty to do without having to drive too far."

    Food shopping nearby with a Co-op and a Waitrose a short drive away . This cottage is very well equipped, we found nothing lacking plenty of crockery and cutlery - not like some where you just get 1 place setting for each guests. Glad I took a couple of extra T Towels. The garden provides plenty of space to sit outside for a meal or a drink with wonderful views. Missed a dishwasher, but the 3 adults and our two grandsons helped and it was soon accomplished. Games, DVD etc provided for use on the smart TV Wi-fi connection very reliable. It wasn't a particularly warm week during our stay, rather damp at times and we did have to use the fire in the lounge and flick on the CH in the evening but every thing worked perfectly with clear instructions provided. Recycling explained in detail and we found it easy to understand. No problem with the seating in the lounge, but suggest a 'bean bag' or large floor cushion might be useful especially with 6 people in residence. We also found the summer duvets to be too lightweight for us and we had to use our car rugs/throws on the beds, but this was very much down to our preferences. All in all a perfect week in a perfect cottage. Thank you to the owners.

    Well appointed and very clean property and amply provided for in the way of cutlery, glasses and other kitchen essentials. As others have commented before, the bathroom basin waste outlet still leaks and will not hold water(need the same diameter O ring but thicker cross section) Most of the washers on the taps in the toilet, kitchen(cold water tap drips), bathroom and ensuite; washers past their use by date and should be replaced. However; apart from the above items, a pleasing property and highly recommended. We will certainly use it again whenever we return to Anglesey.

  • "There were so may little things."

    It did not spoil the holiday but: In the front room there are just two very soft uncomfortable sofas. Great for the young, but not so great for the not so young, they are far too low, and very hard to get up from, my wife had live in the bed room on the bed. The door to the lounge would not stay shut and had to be wedged closed. The plug in the sink was only 3/4 the size of the plug hole so the sink would not hold water. The amount of separation for recycling is out of this world. Yet there was not enough recycling containers in the building to separate the types, so we brought all our refuse home. There are six chairs around the kitchen table, three of them are trapped against the two walls because the kitchen is far too small to have the table away from the walls and people get to all the chairs. The flapping of something on the roof in the wind was nearly as bad as the time it took to refill the cistern in the main bedroom's bathroom when your trying to get to sleep. The list goes on and on. As I said it did not spoil or holiday but we wouldn't recommend the cottage to someone we liked.

    Thank-you for taking the time to provide feedback - we are pleased the points you make did not spoil your holiday. Some comments are provided below which we hope others may find useful: - There are two large 3-seater (M&S) leather sofas in the lounge which are normal dimensions and height. We recommend anyone with specific requirements checks in advance of booking to ensure the property is suitable for their needs. The lounge door can be shut and the plug (which we can only assume had been substituted by someone) has been replaced. There is a recycling system used by Anglesey Borough Council (we agree complex!) which requires separation into different boxes in a trolley. We recommend transporting mixed recycling to the trolley in a bin bag (provided) and sorting this at the trolley. We do also subscribe to a private waste collection service and, as described in the cottage manual, ALL rubbish, including recyclables, can be placed in this bin as the private waste disposal company then carries out sorting. The space in the kichen / dining area is a little limited, but the dining table can easily be pulled away from the wall to provide comfortable seating for six people as required (as a family of six this has never presented us with an issue). We have investigated but not found anything flapping on the roof. Just to add that over the years we have had many satisfied clients including a number of repeat guests, some of whom have been enjoying Menai Cottage since 2010 and are booked in again this year and some who repeat book a couple of years in advance. • "The cottage is in a picturesque location and there are some lovely local walks."

    Good parking and access. The kitchen is well equipped and only lacks small cutlery knives. It was annoying that the plug didn't fit the sink and all washing up had to be done in a small bowl. The basins in the main bathroom and the en suite also had a deficient plugs and the water ran out whilst you were still washing! Very few sockets which meant the use of extension leads. The bedlinen and duvets were clean but very 'tired' and the 2 people using the divans doubled up the duvet as they were 4.5 tog and didn't have sufficient warmth in them for the time of the year {late September}

    Thank-you for taking the time to provide feedback. Apologies for the issue with plugs - the correct size plug is now provided in the kichen and O-rings replaced on the bathroom plugs so all now in working order. Duvets are changed with the changing seasons and unfortunately I think the weather got colder whilst you were there - the housekeeper did switch duvets the day you left. As detailed in the cottage manual, alternative TOG duvets are actually accessible to guests in the event they wish to change. New linen has been provided. changingseasons and unfortunately I think the weather ch Property Owner

  • "Wonderful little cottage in the perfect location."

    The kitchen was well equipped and had all the essentials, my son was very impressed with the coffee cafeteria. Loved the garden furniture and cushions as the weather was very kind to us. We are looking to book again next year as my mother is not very mobile but loved a stroll on the front and visit to sea zoo and foel farm. The only criticism is the lack of towels 2 in the kitchen with no dishwasher, is not really enough and two beds had only 1 bath towel, left on them, and they were damp not fully dried, most cottages we have visited have had a couple of extra towels on site, couldn’t fault any other aspects of the cottage it was a most enjoyable week and a very relaxing holiday

  • "Very well equipped cottage and comfortable but we found it cold."

    Wonderful views when we could see them . Perhaps because the weather was poor and, being elderly we spent more time sitting inside. Didn’t feel justified turning on central heating as it was the middle of June!

  • "Wonderful secluded location with magnificent views across Menai Strait to Caernarfon and Snowdonia."

    Cottage was spacious, clean and very well equipped. It warmed up after 24 hours of heating, but was disappointingly cold the first day and night and I had to correct the time on the boiler to BST as well as resetting the programme to make it work for us, with young children and a rheumatoid arthritis sufferer. This was disappointing as I had contacted the owner a week in advance to explain our needs and had hoped this would have been communicated to the caretaker/cleaner.
