The views are amazing and the house itself is so comfortable and homely plenty of blankets for comfiness and cosey nights sat out on the massive decking area! Would 100% recommend this place. Weather you want to explore the island or weather you just want to have a relaxing break away from the hustle and bustle of life. Hot tub was lovely too!

Well the heating you can put it on when you like the steps up needed a good clean there was not any were to eat out mon tue wed as they are closed we had power cut had to call you the hot tub lid is not the right one so you had to put starps over it tie off the head rest were just floating in hot tub

I am sorry the apartment did not meet your needs. We pride ourselves on 5* ratings we get and the guests immediately before/after your stay have also given 5*. The steps are painted with a grit preservative and checked every week. If you had looked in house manual you could find a list of wonderful restaurants in Anglesey. The hot tub lid has easy to use straps to put on/off lid as it gets windy so near to the breathtaking coastline. It’s a shame you did not reach out for me to answer queries Property Owner

! It had everything you would want in a home away from home. Comfortable beds - superb kitchen lay out, with every utensil you need - beautiful bathrooms - two lounges, one outside for the amazing views - and a glorious hot tub! Wendy, the owner was delightful - so welcoming and thoughtful, I had actually left something at the property on the day we left, and she very kindly posted it to me, I can't thank her enough! Thank you Wendy xx

The view is as enchanting as last time and the accommodation perfect for our needs as an extended family. Kids love the hot tub. Host Wendy is very obliging and responds to queries promptly. So much to do in the area; this time we went up Great Orme, indoor climbing in Caenarfon, did ZipWorld FForest, Plas Newydd, Penrhyn Castle, South Stack lighthouse, boat trip to Puffin Island from Beaumaris and revisited old favourites at the Sea Zoo and Anglesey Riding Centre. Highly recommended.

There was a issue with the internet while we were there, which bothered the kids more than the adults but the owner did her very best to sort this issue out. We were blessed with great weather and made great use of the fabulous balcony area and hot tub. I will definitely return because there is so much more to explore in the area.

If some way could be found to provide some better drying facilities this would make life easier for those with young children (we had a baby and a toddler in our party). Otherwise this is a very well equipped property and I would not hesitate to recommend it to friends.

  • "Have just returned from a lovely week in Anglesey, staying at the Mermaid."

The accommodation is excellent, tastefully furnished and well-equipped. The location is amazing - literally on the beach at the end of a road, so very quiet and secluded. Of course the views from the balcony are to die for. Relaxing in the hot tub after climbing Snowdon, and looking back over the Menai Straits at the mountains was a highlight of the holiday. The kids enjoyed the bunk beds and pootling about on the beach. Lots of family friendly activities nearby (Pili Palas, Sea Farm, Horseriding Centre, Newborough beach, crabbing on Beaumaris pier to name a few). Thanks to grandad babysitting, my partner and I were able to eat at Sosban, the Michelin starred restaurant in Menai Bridge, a treat for foodies. Loved it all so much we are coming back to stay with the Mermaid in October!

  • "Overpriced for what it is."

We did wonder why there are no front pictures of the house because there is someone else that lives underneath and you use a staircase at the side of property which is steep and wooden quite slippy when wet. There was no dining table outside like pictures showed. The cushions for the outdoor settee and lounger had been left outside so we couldn't sit in them. Sitting on the rattan was very uncomfortable. There were only 2 toilet rolls in 2 bathrooms for 5 people for 3 nights! The main master bathroom the ensuite shower is really small compared to the bathroom and we couldn't u demand why because the enquire itself is really big(a lot of empty space) . It was certainly not worth £1300 for 3 nights!! Pictures are quite deceiving. The only thing that was lovely was the view of the sea (couldn't sit out long enough though with no cushions) which I guess is why they charge so much!

The property is listed as a spacious apartment being the whole first floor of a former coastal country inn. There is a dining table and six chairs outside and also 2 lie down loungers and rattan seating for 12 people. I am sorry that the cushions were wet as it had been raining during and immediately prior to your stay. I will take your comments onboard and look at getting a cushion store. The ensuite bathroom has a shower, toilet and washbasin as shown in the pictures with ample room. The price you paid was due to it being peak Xmas/New Year prices. The view ia A-M-A-Z-I-N-G. Thanks Property Owner

  • "The location is perfect."

The views are stunning. Other properties in the area wouldn't get as good views as they are not raised up, because this is on the first floor, you can see right along the Menai Straits. The accommodation is spacious and has everything you need for a family holiday. The owner was so helpful. During our stay, the toaster broke. I called her, as it tripped the electrics. She sorted the electrics straight away and had bought and delivered a new toaster to us in hours! The only issue we encountered (if you could even call it that) is that we couldn't find the light switch for the main bathroom. We should've asked really, but felt a bit daft! Probably just us all being dopey. If that's the only problem on a week away, then I think you're doing well! We loved it so much that we booked for next year. Absolute perfection.
