No Wifi but was advertised as having Wifi (no matter how many times we keyed in correct password of modem it failed to recognize and connect which in turn rendered the advertised smart tv dumb) . NO Blinds or curtains to the back windows including the bathroom, so a big privacy problem. Outside seating area was right next to a mucky stinking horses and goats shed, the flies were a big problem. You couldn't sit outside as it smelled too bad. Heating was on a timer so you had no control over it (some nights were cold this June) . And at the end of the holiday we are expected to remove duvet covers, sheets and pillowcases! Also the first day of the holiday you can only enter cottage 4pm plus (which reminds me... the front door key mechanism is old and faulty, when its locked it takes a number of attempts before it unlocks thus from a safety point requires rectifying).

Thank you for your feedback I’m sorry to hear you did not enjoy your holiday in our beautiful part of Ynys Mon, I’m a bit baffled at damp June weather was good 15 degrees not weather to show damp, the cottage is advertised as open plan, the beds have memory foam mattress maybe not to your liking, yes there is Wi-Fi shame you didn’t ask me for assistance with it, there are no blinds in the sunroom as the rear of the cottage is not overlooked by anyone only the grounds and the animals front of cottage has curtains where other guests and our self could pass, we will look into putting blinds in the sunroom the bathroom has obscured glass, the stables I can guarantee you are not mucky horse manure is classed as the least offensive manure as it is only grass and it is only the rear of the stables you can see from the garden for the time of year and the weather was in the 15 degrees the heating comes on late afternoon through the evening until late and then early morning if you wanted it on longer you only needed to ask WE do not ask anyone to strip the beds we leave that totally to your selfs some do some don’t totally at your discretion, don’t understand your comment you cannot enter cottage until 4pm do you feel thi is too late the front door mechanism is new actually Property Owner

Plus short walk to the shop and pub too along a pavement next to the road. Good enclosed garden for small and medium dogs (chicken wire great between slats) but fence maybe too small for bigger more enthusiastic escape artists! The house was lovely and warm when we arrived. The location is perfect for walking to Newborough Forest and beach, the dogs loved it! And the garden with it's lovely outlook where you can see the horses and further views on a clear day is great to sit in even on a cold day. The only thing we struggled with was trying to wash off very muddy dogs after our walks as the shower is fixed, so it was difficult to get the mud and sand off. Maybe a removable shower/hose attachment on the tap would be useful for those wishing to shower off their dogs? The owner was very friendly and kindly offered for my son to feed their goats if he wished to. We will definitely be returning.

Thank you for your kind words we will look into an outside washing facility for the dogs Property Owner

  • "Really lovely cottage."

We stayed in October for a short autumn mini-break and to visit our student twins who are down the road at Bangor University. We particularly loved the walk from the cottage down to Newborough beach through the pine forest. Our dog also loved making "friends" with the horses, ponies and goats in the field behind the house, and the many farm cats that were wandering around. The enclosed rear garden was perfect for the dog, and the cottage was spacious and extremely clean. It would however have been good to have had a few tea bag/coffee sachets for when we arrived, as we landed on a Sunday evening after all the shops had already shut. We also needed oven gloves at one point and couldn't find any. Another useful thing would have been to have an info folder for things such as how the recycling works, how to operate the heating, local pubs and take-aways, local walks and attractions etc... It's not a big thing, but it does help. Other than that we had a lovely stay and would definitely recommend and possibly return ourselves at some point.

This is a perfect quiet cottage which offers great access to Llandwyn Beach via a gentle walk through Newborough forest. The village is just up the hill and with it being just a short drive from the A55 there is quick access to the rest of the island or across into Snowdonia. The place is a perfect base for the explorer or a haven for a gentle escape from the world. Modern facilities throughout but still maintained within a comfortable rustic but contempory style. The owners are friendly and helpful, and always available. I would certainly recommend.

I loved how friendly the horses and goats were coming over to say hello. The walks are good, (be warned it's over 3 miles to the beach), the local pub (does a great breakfast) and shop are excellent. Just a couple of things that weren't quite there and being picky. I couldn't connect to the router the password on the back wouldn't work, for us for a couple of nights no problem, but should we come back with our grandchildren then it would be for them. There wasn't / or we couldn't see an info pack. In other Sykes cottages there has been a little welcome pack. On the whole we had a lovely time, Would like to say thank you for the eggs the owner gave us when we were leaving. We'll be back.

  • "When first arriving the place looks wonderful, however it was all very superficial."

No instructions on how to use the antiquated shower, No Wifi as promised, toilet seat was for a child,. On the 4th day the oven door exploded with shards of glass everywhere. It was fortunate my wife was nowhere in the vicinity. Owner came in and swept the glass up, and said 'I guess you will have to eat out now'. Oven door was never replaced during our stay. We have been with Sykes for a number of years with no complaints, however I assume Sykes missed their inspection and vetting on Bron Gadair.

Thank you for your feedback. We have never received any issues with the shower previously. For us to assist with any in-property issues, we advise guests contact us, so we have to opportunity to resolve them which was not done. Wi-Fi is included in the property, but no issues were raised during your stay. The adult toilet seat measurements are 15” - 18” and ours measures at 15”. The oven doors inner glass that simultaneously combusted, it was mentioned that this happened at home which is a rare and isolated incident for us. Unfortunately, we were able to get replacement glass for the next guests following your departure. The oven was two years old so hadn’t had a lot of use in a holiday accommodation. On departure, we managed to source a replacement oven for next guests. With regards to eating out, there is a microwave and a hob in the cottage so were alternative cooking facilities to make food. All cottages are inspected by Sykes when on-boarding with them. Property Owner

I gave a 4 star rating because there were a couple of things on arrival that we were a little disappointed with. We were surprised that there isn’t an information pack in the cottage and these at times we have found to be most useful. This is the first cottage of the many that we’ve stayed in that hasn’t had one. Also there wasn’t any form of welcome pack. These don’t need to be extravagant but on arrival after a long journey especially if you’re dropping luggage off prior to going shopping having a small amount of tea coffee etc so that you can have a quick cuppa is certainly appreciated. Also there wasn’t a single toilet roll in the cottage which was somewhat of a surprise. That being said we had a great holiday with lovely weather. .

It is set in pretty grounds. The advertising could make much more of its location. Just a short walk down the lane to the nature reserve, path to the glorious beach and miles of woodland walks. Very comfortable bed and spotlessly clean. Owner next door very unobtrusive and respected privacy. Having said that, it really needs curtains and blinds at the rear and bathroom to help it to feel cosy and private on dark evenings. The leather settees are lovely to look at but the one in the lounge could be more supportive for your back. The house is very warm day and evening - so important when we stayed in October. • "This is a lovely cottage in an idyllic setting."

It would be perfect for a couple or family with one child, but we found a few issues staying with two young children. There are no curtains upstairs (only office style blinds which let the light in) which meant that bedtime and early wakings were a problem. There are also no internal doors downstairs or leading into the master bedroom upstairs, which meant that the noise from downstairs carried and we couldn't keep them securely in any one room. For anyone staying with young children, I would recommend packing travel curtains, a non-slip bathmat and 2 stair gates and a clothes airer (there was nowhere to hang clothes inside to dry). Aside from these practical issues, we couldn't fault the cottage. It was clean and perfectly located for access to the beach, local attractions and a nearby convenience store. There are beautiful walks on the doorstep, and it is in a tranquil setting with the added bonus of horses and goats within view of the back window.

Good day Thank you for your feedback already put blackout blinds curtains were removed during covid, there is a rotary line in the garden, I’m sorry the open plan design was not suitable for you we don’t supply non slip bath mats due to hygiene We do hope we can see you in the future our next door cottage pen llyn might be more suitable for your needs as it’s not open plan. Nearby Aberffraw is the home of the Anglesey racing track and will offer an exciting day.
